Where's the save button?
« on: April 17, 2006, 10:19:14 PM »

i'm using the following:

Joomla 1.0.8
SMF 1.1 RC2
Joomla 1.1 SMF-Forum

after having complied with the requirements and followed the instructions carefully, i've encountered a bug either in my installation process or it's just that there's something wrong with the Joomla 1.1 SMF-Forum Component.

2. Configure the Joomla-SMF Forum Component
     a. Select 'Joomla-SMF'->'Configuration' from menu labeled 'Components'
     b. Click on the 'Installation' tab.
     c. Click 'Save'

PROBLEM: I can't find hte 'Save' button.
QUESTION: Where can I find it? Any remedy on this one?  Huh

i'm attaching an image of the configuration of the Joomla-SMF Component

This happened before and the user enabled error reporting in php and joomla and there was a file missing from his installation.  Please check php's error_log and enable maximum error reporting for joomla and post any error messages.

there wasn't any error at all, it loads accordingly, problem is i just can't see the save button with the same interface as that of any component.

by the way, i'm using a local server in my PC. i'm not uploading files to another server. so i changed all the permissions to chmod 777. where can i also find the server log error in joomla?  Huh

@wolverine: thanks bro, i've read the threads you linked. unfortunately i can't find the solution there. any other thoughts on it? Cheesy

your error_log is in the root of your website, however, for the admin pages it should be in administrator/error_log
