[RESOLVED]Problems with BBCODE icons

Hello,

I can't use BBCODE icons in the messages. Nothing appears in the messages when I click on it. Did I miss some configuration option or is it something else ?

Joomla 1.0.8
Joomla-Smf 1.1.01
Smf 1.1rc2

look at this in IE, are you seeing the red x signifying image not found?

Short answer: IF Javascript is disabled or SCRIPT.JS not loaded you'll get those symptoms as well.


Detailed answer:
The transfer of a bbcode to the text of the message is a Javascript function (hover the mouse over the btn and you'l see "Javascript:void(0)" in the status bar) so if you have Javascript blocked or disabled OR AS PART OF THE INSTALLATION THEY DID NOT GET COPIED PROPERLY OR CHMODDED (Sometimes the files are copied as BINARY instead of ASCII and don't work right as a result)

The javascript responsible is script.js make sure that it is being loaded.

How can I debug this ? I have a standalone installation of smf 1.1rc2 on the same machine installed the same way and it works on it. I'm visiting other forums with smf, and it also works (here for exemple  Wink). To install smf, I first upload the zip archive on the machine via sftp and connect myself via ssh to unzip the files in a repertory and proceed to the installation. So I don't see where there can be any problem of BINARY instead of ASCII. I'm not uploading smf file by file via ftp.

Hello,

I resolved my problem which was rather st$p$d :-). In fact, it was first a test site (http://test.kde-france.org) and when I switched to production (http://www.kde-france.org), I forgot to change the URL in the theme tables of the database of smf.  Grin

Now everything works fine,

Hello, i have tried every thing in this topic but i still cant get the bbc to work, i have checked the URL, i have messed about with the forums themes and still nothing.

it works when the forum works on its own, but when in the template it doesn't

can any one help me or give me any other suggestions?
