If your having issues with your Login Module (Joomla-SMF Login Module 1.4)
I suggest using this, i had to re-pack it in the form of a Component installation, so you will need to remove the Component from Joomla (Back Up recommended). The Install This one!
Due to -Wolverine's CHMOD tactic, i couldnt overwrite the file.
-Wolverine, check the read-me for the edited file.
I hope i have your permission in sharing this with everyone!

the Change is in the Functions... also i aint getting anything out of sharing this... so i really see no difference if i pack it or u pack it. the chmod u used is impossible for me to take off when i attempted to overwrite it.
also see changes in the post i talked about the solutions.
I've made upgraded to the patch that you posted today but I'm still getting the same result when I log in. Which is "You are not authorized to view this resource. You need to login." Is there something I'm missing?
I have installed: Joomla 1.0.8 Joomla-SMF Forum 1.1 RC2 patch4 SMF 1.1RC2
I'm also using Joomal-SMF Login Module 1.4
Any feedback would be great thank you. I'm going to reinstall the update one more time to see if this please.
It's being shown on a Joomla page. However I reinstalled the patched version and it was working just fine until I changed the registration to SMF then after that anyone trying to register or login gets the same unauthorized message. Same goes for using CB registration and even going back to Mambo/Joomla registration doesn't work anymore. I'll reinstall and give your suggestion a try.
Strange... but thats what i got BEFORE i updated and got pissed off with it and found out the problem lol.
Are you using Search Optimisation? (It's In Joomla's Backend / Config Options). Try switching that one.
also can you please tell me the link it redirects you too, i perhaps can assist you by telling wolverine what your actual problem is. I had the exact same thing your having.
I am 50% sure that perhaps your SEO is off, try switching it on.
