Hello !

i tried to install same versions of all needed software on an XAMPP.
there login is ok !
Question: Why Huh?

Same installation copied on an Linux Server doesnt work.

yes, there are differences...
XAMPP = PHP 5.1.1
LINUX = PHP 4.3.4

is it possible, thats the problem Huh

must be a problem with php configuration on that linux machine.  Do you have access to compare the two configurations?  I'd love to know what would cause this.

Sorry for the delay... turn log errors on and then check the error_log and see if there is anything in there relating to the problem.  I will keep looking.

and you said this is failing... what exactly is failing.  The user can't login?  And how does it fail, just simply error message reporting failure logging in or no values entered or what?

Hello,
I'm just wondering how this plugin is working out for everyone. I'm trying to decide between the Joomla-SMF bridge on this site and the one offered on the SMF site.
From what I've read on the SMF forum, the SMF bridge doesn't integrate very tightly with CB. For example, profile changes made through CB aren't reflected on the SMF side. Does this plugin (in conjunction with the Joomlahacks bridge) resolve this issue?

problem Solved !

Reason fpr Login problems are missing field(s) in member table(s).
Please make a note in installation instruction which fields
in wich tables are needed.

This works fine for me:

Joomla 1.0.10
Community Builder RC1
Joomla-SMF Bridge 1.1.4
Joomla-SMF Login Module 1.4.2
CB-SMF Auth Plugin

Configuration:
Sync Usernames
Registration Form: Community Builder
Login Module: SMF

MYSQL Database:
jos_comprofile_tabs -> _UE_CONTACT_INFO_HEADER -> enabled=0 !!

I've seen that there is a Problem if Users edit their Username/Name in the CB Tab. (Sync doesn't work well) So i turned the Tab off and now users MUST edit the Profile Datas in SMF (Password, Username, Mail,etc) 

SMF writes the Datas well into joomla and CB!

The one and only Problem: Login redirects always to SMF, even i chose something else in the backend. but thats easy...i think users can life with that Wink
