Can't access topics on forum: SMF 1.1RC2, Joomla 1.0.8, Joomla-SMF 1.1
« on: March 02, 2006, 06:29:20 AM »

Hi -

I installed everything above, and everything appears to be working as far as login and session.  The board appears, wrapped inside the site.  However, when I click on a forum, topic, or post, I get the following error:

The requested URL /community/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,27/board,1.0 was not found on this server.

About the only problem that I can think of is the pathing - but the absolute path is correct, and all of the other links/menu options on the page work fine.  I also hasten to add that going directly to the forums directory and using SMF works fine as well.

I'm at a loss as to what the problem might be.

#####  SOLVING PROBLEMS WITH COMPONENT URL's that don't work #####
# SPECIAL NOTE FOR SMF USERS WHEN SMF IS INTEGRATED AND BRIDGED
# OR ANY SITUATION WHERE A COMPONENT's URL's AREN't WORKING
#
# In both the 'Standard SEF', and '3rd Party or Core SEF' sections the line:
# RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^(/component/option,com) [NC,OR] ##optional - see notes##
# May need to be uncommented.  If you are running your Joomla/Mambo from
# a subdirectory the name of the subdirectory will need to be inserted into this# line.  For example, if your Joomla/Mambo is in a subdirectory called '/test/',# change this:
# RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^(/component/option,com) [NC,OR] ##optional - see notes##
# to this:
# RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^(/test/component/option,com) [NC,OR] ##optional -
see notes##
