joomla & smf user sync
« on: January 18, 2006, 12:24:54 PM »

hello all.

i was under the impression that the bridge was supposed to automagically sync new joomal users to the smf user base and i swear i quite clearly remeber it doing just that pretty well.

well, tomake things short: it just doesn't. the only real difference is that i updated from joomla 1.0.4 to 1.0.7. i already tried reinstalling the bridge (which was ad still is 102a) and i'm currently considering reinstalling smf 1.1 rc1 (which is currently running)

manually syncing users via the component config works just fine.

a clean smf reinstall and subsequent complete manual resync seems to have solved my problem.

First up - hello all, seems like a cool site you're running here.

I'm having this same problem too...

I've got joomla 1.0.7, Joomla-SMF bridge 1.0.2a and SMF 1.1 RC2. The bridge is set to use Community Builder as Registration Module (1.0 RC 2 installed).

The manual sync works fine but when I sign up as a new user (on either SMF or Joomla) it is not sync'd across.

I've just reinstalled both the bridge and the forum, but it's the same as before. Any ideas?!?

There's currently no support for joomla-smf 1.1Beta in conjunction with CB 1.0-RC2.
Look her for more info...

Thanks for that.

Think I'm going to just use the SMF login for now.
