I've installed Joomla-SMF1.1 Beta on my test site and I still get the following error....

When I've got "quick reply" turned on and use "quote" on a message I get an "error on page":

Char: 18
Error: Object required
Code: 0
URL: http://duclin.xs4all.nl/test/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=30&topic=2.0

It does work when I first choose "reply" and the select "quote" from the message I want to quote.

  • When I turn quick reply Completely off it does work..
  • When I have quick reply on but collapsed I don't get the error but the quote doesn't work either.
  • When I have quick reply on and open I get the error and quick reply doesn't work

When I go directly to the location of SMF (instead of going through the Joomla page), it does work.
I'm allready using SMF unwrapped so I don't have to try that Smiley

I started a thread about this earlier when I first found out when using bridge version 1.02a and SMF 1.1RC2 .

I can fix this I just don't use quick reply personally.  So I wasn't aware of the issue, or at least didn't get reminded of it while I was working on the bridge.  Are you using the default template?  I don't recall seeing quick reply in the def temp code, but I may have overlooked it.

Yep...I'm using the default SMF 1.1RC2 template....

The issue must have slipped your mind...because in the first post I started about this issue you allready tried helping me...

I am not receiving an error however the quote is not put in the quick reply box but I am not sure that is supposed to happen.  Enable my accoutn on your forum ('Wolverine') I am not sure why it is saying I can't get in, I think blocked!?  I just want to see what you are seeing.

I enabled your account...

Yes, the quote is supposed to be put in the quick reply box..

There are 3 options with the quick reply box...

  • don't show at all
  • show, off by default
  • show, on by default


Choose the first option and the quick reply works fine
Choose the second option and you don't get the error but nothing happends.
Choose the third option and you get the error and nothing happends.

ps. The site is on a home test server so site respons may be a bit slow...

I still don't see the error, are you using FF or IE?  The quote isn't inserted either, so I see that is a problem.

I'm using IE .

It isn't a "popping up error" but an "error on page" on the left bottom side of the screen...when you double click on it you'll see the error message itself.

But I suppose that if you can fix it so that the quote is being put in the quick reply box then it should work....
