Problem in login system
« on: January 18, 2006, 10:18:07 AM »

I have installed Joomla-SMF integration 1.0.2a in joomla 1.0.5.

When I try to log in joomla, the navigator goes to the forum home page and it says: LOGIN INCORRECT. If I choose the option to remember password, and I write the same password that is in joomla, I can identify directly in the forum (not in joomla). Then, If I come back to joomla and try to identify, i get the same error message. In the database, it seems that the password of the smf user changes when i come back to joomla. For example, if i choose a password whith the remember password util, there is in the database a value "A", and I can login in the forum. But if I go to joomla, after try to identify me and get de error message, in the database there is a value "B".

It seems that the sync util works bad, the users are the same but password arenīt.

The system is:

Platform: Apache
PHP version: 4.3.10-16
Joomla / Mambo version: joomla 1.0.5
SMF version: 1.0.2a

Same problem here.

Joomla 1.0.4
SMF 1.1RC2
Bridte 1.0.2a

I've also found that the passwords stored in the database aren't cooperating. I did a sync to get the 9 users from the forums into joomla, and that's when the issues began. All the passwords synced from SMF into Joomla, and now Joomla has passwords it cannot process. The only password that works, strangely, is mine....

So, I'm sitting here with 99 users, two of which can log in: me, and another person who's password I just changed. The rest of them have passwords that are apparently incompatible with Joomla, or something.
