Joomla-SMF Bridge 1.0.2a do not work well with Internet Explorer

Joomla Version 1.0.5
SMF version 1.1 RC1
Joomla-SMF bridge 1.0.2a
Internet Explorer 6 SP2

It seems Joomla-SMF Bridge do not work well with Internet Explorer.
I got an Javascript error when I save the configuration (by clicking "save"):

Line 350
Error: document.adminForm.task is null or not an object.

In no way I can save the config.
Even I tried to edit the config.smf.php manually, the Bridge did not work well.
