Links don't work
« on: December 23, 2005, 03:35:50 AM »

I've got Joomla-SMF Forum Version 1.0.2a running on Joomla! 1.0.4 and with SMF 1.1 RC1.  (I upgraded from an earlier version of the component and mod in SMF, but per the documentation here, I uninstalled the package in SMF.

However, none of the links work in the forum on the site, when accessed through the Joomla component.  If I navigate directly to the forum directory, then it works.

Please advise.

I should mention that I've searched multiple Joomla fora for an answer to no avail.

I have probably the same problem.....

I didn't upgrade, but did a complete new install.
Each and every link (like login links and recent forum posts) are directing to the wrong url:
http://www.mydomain.com/action=unread

instead of:
http://www.mydomain.com/com_blablalba

Is this the same error or should I start a new threath?

Is everything properly configured? Check the INSTALLATION CHECKLIST from the admin page.

Absolutely.

I noticed that the links did work when I placed them on a different module position  Huh

When I use the login on the right side, the links work!

Aaarrghh... flits!?!?  That's NOT the same problem.  It's not a module issue for me (since I'm only using the component).  I DID follow the checklist (and even tried re-installing).  The component used to work fine until I did an upgrade.  Are there any issues with the Community Builder rc2?

I still have got a chance to test Joomla-SMF for CB RC2. There's probably a compatbility issue.

Thank you, cowboy.  That could very well be the culprit. If it helps, I was directed to this thread on SMF's Web site, with the advice that my problem lies in that I have multiple head tags.  However, when I tried implementing some of the code snippets in that thread, it gave me a "template parse error."

I have a feeling your coding experience is a little better than mine ;-)  If you need to test anything, you're welcome to use my site.  I can PM you login information, if you need it.

This bridge is great, and it will really allow our teachers and students to continue discussions about debate during our "off-season" this spring.
