login redirects to forum

i have installed the login smf component (mod_smf_login_1.3.2.zip) for joomla (Joomla 1.0.4 ), but when i do the login i get redirected to the forum instead of the index. the forum is SMF 2.2 RC1
any ideas?

Looks like your using the wrong joomla component, look at 1.0.2a component, its for the smf RC1. I think the version you are using is for smf 1.0.5
