seems that pages are not being displayed if viewed through the joomla wrapper. if i hit the forum on its own everything is there. any help would be appreciated.

I don't know which is lamer, promising an unlock key for a "donation" and not ever delivering one or the pathetic key generation algorithm.  I actually made two donations for different sites.

Which version of JSMF do you use?

As you can read in the stickies. Development has stopped at joomlahacks. Sad but true 

For Joomla 1.0.15 you need JSMF 2.0.2.1. Check out my signature.

For the login module you need version 2.0.4 and for recent topics you need version 2.0.2.

You say, you have mysql 4.1.11. Then your version is newer than 4.1.2. So there is no problem to follow the howto.

BTW if your server is mysql 4.1.1 and lower (older), you couldn't have utf8 tables in  the first place.

After patching Joomla (in "install" section of bridge) users cannot login to site (login system set to joomla).
Joomla 1.0.15, SMFB 2.0.2, SMF 1.1.4
After log and pass entering page just refreshes and nothing happens.

Hi again. I followed the instructions in the link and on checking the mysql version it reads 4.1.11. In the instructions it states.. use MySQL version 4.1.2 or newer (older versions don't support utf-8).
Is there any other way around the problem?  Thanks
