1  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 2.0.x / Re: [need help] I want to hide left and right menus of Joomla for SMF on: August 16, 2007, 03:24:29 PM

Just go to the backend and open the modules and just select on witch page you want to show them.

True and maybe I read a bit too much in Ramos post in that he only wants SMF to show. But if you have a number of modules to edit (I have 4 showing the front page which tends to be a lot fewer than most), you have to edit all of them. If you don't care to have the Joomla header and footer showing then my way is faster and easier.

Awww... the simplicity of Joomla! So many flavors to suit everyones tastes.  Grin

You can create a menu item (Link - url) that links directly to the forum directory (http://www.your_site.com/joomla/smf_forum) and then put a menu item in the forum to link back to your Joomla site.
3  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 2.0.x / session_destroy() issue on: August 12, 2007, 05:25:38 PM
I'm getting errors in the SMF error log every time someone logs in but aren't seen by the user. There are no issues with using the site but it does clog up the error log. The error is:

Code:
2: session_destroy(): Trying to destroy uninitialized session
File: /home/content/a/b/c/abcxxxxxxx/html/cms/cg_forum/Sources/Subs-Auth.php
Line: 174

On my production site I have:
  • Joomla 1.0.12
  • SMF 1.1.13
  • Joomla-SMF Bridge 2.0.2
  • Community Builder 1.1
  • PHP 4.3.11
  • MySQL 4.1.22-max-log

On my test site I have:
  • Joomla 1.0.13
  • SMF 1.1.13
  • Joomla-SMF Bridge 2.0.2.1
  • Community Builder 1.1
  • PHP 4.3.11
  • MySQL 4.1.22-max-log

I get the errors on both installs and if I unbridge the forum the errors aren't generated so I don't think SMF or CB is causing the errors. Also, disabling Use database driven sessions has no affect. Any idea on what may be causing these errors?

Many thanks for the help and a great product.  Smiley
