1  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 2.0.x / Call to make JSMF a paid hack? on: July 10, 2007, 04:56:50 PM
this is such a great product and i wouldn't mind paying $20 or so for standard support...  though i'm not sure what the climate is with joomla as i've heard rumors things are getting bad...
2  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 2.0.x / is anyone able to install mod's on the SMF forum? on: June 22, 2007, 04:28:32 AM
OK, it seems as if it's next to impossible to get any support on this forum, but I'm going to try anyways.  I successfully installed the Joomla-SMF bridge and converted over 15,000 members from vBulletin.  I have done adequate searches on this forum, and cannot find the answer to this.  I have read that people have problems installing mods on there SMF since they bridged it.  So, my question is: HAS ANYONE BEEN ABLE TO INSTALL A MOD ON THERE SMF FORUM AFTER THEY BRIDGED IT?

The reason being, I have not been able to.  I get this error which I wonder is due to permissions, or due to the bridge: The package you tried to upload either is not a valid package or has become corrupted.

I have tried installing mods manually (an incredible headache) to no avail.
3  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 2.0.x / wolverine where are you? trying to sync users, looked all over on: June 18, 2007, 03:12:37 PM
hi wolverine, i hope this reaches you.. i've asked this question a couple of times, and i've also done my job of searching the forums to make sure it wasn't a duplicate post.. yet, nobody has answered me.  i don't see how you can allow new members to install the joomla-smf bridge when there is such a major problem with the documentation.

i have over 10,000 members in my smf and cannot sync it through the admin backend because a timeout occurs.  so, i have to do it manually through phpmyadmin like the instruction manual says.  BUT THERE IS NO LINK TO THE FLASH GUIDE YOU SAY TO VIEW.

how do you sync users?  right now my site with over 15,000 members is dead because of this problem.  i cannot find this flash tutorial to save me.  all that is needed is the SQL query so i can move my users through there.. please help.

yeah but the user guide is vague at this point.. it points to a flash tutorial that isn't even there.. can someone please link it?
