1  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 1.0.x / Problem getting the latest bridge working. on: November 13, 2005, 05:41:39 PM
Hi guys,
I thought i had the bridge working properly, but it seems i was wrong Sad
I login using the new smf mod and then click on the forum link but get told that i am not logged in? (sometimes it works, but most times not). I am also getting the following error occassionally (when going from the forum back to the main site) from the recent topics mod:

No Database Selected
File: /home/jtips/public_html/modules/mod_smf_recent_topics.php
Line: 69

Then last but not least, if i try and submit a post or reply from within the wrapped smf i get told:

Your session timed out while posting. Please try to re-submit your message.

The site is running:
Joomla 1.0.3
Joomla-SMF Forum 1.0.2a Bridge
Latest SMF-Login mod
Latest Discussbot

Any ideas?
Cheers
Chris

Hi Guys / Cowboy,
Any ideas of this can be done? I desperately need this option for the Joomla knowledge sharing portal i am busy with. I really want to have the site live by monday, but this is holding me back Sad If anyone has any ideas of how this can be achieved, it would be much appreciated!!!

Chris
3  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 1.0.x / Changing the default user level to "Author" on registration? on: November 10, 2005, 07:15:04 PM
Hey Guys,
I just came across another hickup  Undecided and am wondering if there is anyone that can shed some light on the situation

I need to change the default user access level to "author" so that i can use xhtmlsuite. I found the below article on how to do this with the other SMF bridge (the one that uses the SMF registration component)...

http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/topic,5604.0.html

Any ideas on how this can be achieved? I am using the standard Mambo Registration, if that helps..

Regards,
Chris
4  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 1.0.x / Joomla-SMF Login - How to add redirect on login? on: November 10, 2005, 05:13:11 PM
Hi Guys
I have just installed the JoomlaHacks bridge & new version of the SMF Login Module and all is smooth sailing (well, sort of).

I am very excited about having this on our site and the only thing that i am stumped about is that the new login module does not have an option for redirect on login and logout. :0( This is one of the crucial elements to our site, as users are redirected to a content item page, with all their relevant account information.

I contemplated trying to add this myself, but figured i would ask here first to find out is anyone has done this or knows how to..

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated!!

Regards,
Chris
