I dont know wether if i should have post this in here or in the modules forum, but here goes nothing.

My clan is building a website, we have faced a lot of problems but we managed to overcome most. On our old website we had a feature called snooping, wich allows a use to see what other users are doing at the time.

I had a look in the downloads, but i couldnt find anything related, i wanted to ask if anyone knows where can i find a snooping component?

Hey guys,

I have tried everything, i have killed some brain cells along with some other guy who happens to have it installed in his website.

I have downloaded a lot of verions of JSMF but no hope. I have changed permissions of the images/, media/,uploadfiles/ and administrator/backups directories to 707 and then 777, but no hope. Still giving error.

I have tried to do it automatically and manually, but it always fails.


Thats the error that happens when i do it automatically, i have gave 777 permissions to the file media by the way.

When i do it manually, it fails to create a sub-folder called backup inside the folder com_smf

I tried to create those folders by myself giving maximum permissions but it still doesnt work, if i do that it says the folder is already being used by another component.

The Joomla version is "Joomla! 1.0.12 Stable" our MySQL version is "MySQL 4.1.11" SMF version is"SMF 1.1.2"

I dont know what else to do... help?

I have installed a forum on my clan new website. The website is www.noclan.eu and when i click in Forums it goes to a new window/tab instead of showing everything in the main page, also you have to register twice, one for website, other for forum. I would like the forum to be like in this website for example or like in simplemachines.org

I installed the forum in the same database as the website, noclan_1 and with the prefix smf_1

Our Joomla version is "Joomla! 1.0.12 Stable" our MySQL version is "MySQL 4.1.11"

I installed the forum wich you can find here http://www.noclan.eu/Forum/index.php but i would like to make the forum opening in the main page of www.noclan.eu is it possible?

What have i done wrong? If you need any more info just ask dont be shy 

When i logon into my web control panel and i go to MySQL databases i can see two databases there one is called noclan_1 and the second is called noclan_forum.

Is that alright?

Ok i just worked around i managed to install the forum, but i was hoping it would show up in the same window as the whole website but it doesnt, if you click here www.noclan.eu and then in forums it will open a new window.

How can i make it work like this one?

Me and my mates are building us a clan website www.noclan.eu and we are using Joomla (in the past we tried e107), i have tried to install either a Forum or shoutbox but i always failed, i have tried almost every forum version that can be found here, http://www.joomlahacks.com/component/option,com_remository/Itemid,41/func,select/id,14/

I have read some .pdf file with instructions but i always get stuck. I go Administrator > Installers > Components > then i browse the file on my computer, and i click upload/install and it fails... I have also tried to extract the .zip file and upload it via FTP but it also fails when i try to install it.

This is the error, ERROR: Could not find an XML setup file in the package.

Our Joomla version is "Joomla! 1.0.12 Stable" our MySQL version is "MySQL 4.1.11"
