I've been having this problem for a while, now... it's fairly random, and doesn't seem to have a set action that makes it occur.
For example, occasionally when I make a new post, the phrase "\n\t\t\n\t" will appear on the top left corner of the page, pushing the rest of the page content down a bit.
Apart from being annoying, it's not really affecting the site in any way, but I'd like to find a solution for it.
I'm having a bit of an issue with the bridge, where the majority of links suddenly decide to point to the wrong pages, and eventually sort themselves out again on their own. The issue is nonexistant in the stand-alone forum, but while it's wrapped in Joomla, the problems occasionally present themselves. Is there a way to fix this?
I've figured out what went wrong - when uninstalling the previous version, the "com_smf" directory failed to be removed completely. I was manually removing the directory from the "Components" directory, but was forgetting about administrator/components - they both have to be removed manually, or it won't install the new version properly.
I just upgraded the bridge on my Joomla site to the latest version, and after following the instructions correctly, I'm unable to access the forum from Joomla itself. I am recieving the following error:
Quote
Warning: main(/home/bcedkea8/public_html/ants/administrator/components/com_smf/admin.smf.class.php) [function.main]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/bcedkea8/public_html/ants/components/com_smf/smf.class.php on line 47
Fatal error: main() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/bcedkea8/public_html/ants/administrator/components/com_smf/admin.smf.class.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/bcedkea8/public_html/ants/components/com_smf/smf.class.php on line 47
I've been attempting to get the bridge component working for a while now; at the moment, if I click "Click to patch" on either Joomla or SMF source files, I get booted out of the admin section and have to log back in, with no change to the patch. I've gotten a friend to try it, and he managed to patch the Joomla part, but now he's stuck on the SMF one, with an error message of:

Failed: Permission problem, unable to open file: /home/bcedkea8/public_html/theforum/index.php
I've already changed permissions of the index file to allow access, but it still doesn't work.
