1  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 2.0.x / Re: JSMF 2.0.2.1 on: August 02, 2007, 07:12:13 AM
I recently made a new install with Joomla 1.0.13 and SMF 2.0.2.1 and epxerienced problems, i temporarily used the earlier versions of both software for testing and learning.

And now I've done the same setup for the new version(s), though I've followed the instructions as precise i could i still couldn't login correctly and the account i created when installing the forum, i get a blank page.

Please also mention the versions you use and witch registration you are using.

The user sync is when the user is logged in the first time. So if you use the Joomla! registration the user has to logging first trough Joomla! before the user is be synced.

Joomla 1.0.13
SMF 1.1.3
Joomla-SMF 2.0.2

I've tried that, but whenever i try to login i get "Incorrect Password".

Edit:

I thin i may have solved the problem, i used Joomla 1.0.12 instead. Seems the bridge doesn't support 1.0.13 yet, when can i/we expect see a new versin?

I followed the user guide for the bridge as good as i could, but experience problems along the way.

I've configured SMF according the JSMF guide as well the bridge i see fit. Though the users sync each other between the applications, the passwords doesn't.

Here's what i mean:

The bridge let's Joomla take care of the registration and login but redirect to forum after login. I registered a common member named "test" through Joomla! registration form and immediately i try to login: Nothing is happening (notice: i've not the activation mail enabled) as well my admin account named "admin" is synced to SMF, the password doesn't apply.

SMF (in standalone mode) is configured in the registration section to immediately activate the user when registered.

So, what's the solution?

Edit:

Also, when i choose Joomla-SMF to be the registrator i still can't login after creating a new user, i get the "Incorrect Password" error.
