Just like me, since installed the 1.0.1 version, the recent post does not have sql error but I have the now already classical: No database selected Archivo: /home/iberianm/public_html/modules/mod_smf_recent_topics.php Línea: 68 error back
Well, I have installed both the updated beta1 files without exit to resolve the mysql problem, and the files in the announcements too, and I still have it so I hoped with next release it would mend it even for me
This is my server config, maybe it's aproblem with it?
Operating system Linux Kernel version 2.6.13.2Siteground-Rack-2.6.12 Machine Type i686 Apache version 1.3.33 (Unix) PERL version 5.8.0 PHP version 4.3.10 MySQL version 4.1.13-standard-log
About the next release, I'm looking forward to it, I redownloadeed the demo with the updated files, unpatched, uninstalled, reinstalled and repatched and have same error, so will have to wait for next
I've noticed I logout here from visit to vist also, like in my site, is some affair of the bridge or joomla itself? or is just me?
One other thing I noticed, if you're using Joomlahacks' com_smf, why are you linking "Foros" to com_wrapper? com_wrapper is calling ItemID 28 while com_smf is calling ItemID 27
Just to avoid the problems I have when going from recet posts in custom login, If _I sued the call to componet, the forum took the font from joomla, and also when I click on unread posts form the upper user menu (where the avatar is show, messages, etc) I would get the same error from the login:You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'AND ml.ID_MSG = t.ID_LAST_MSG AND IFNULL(lt.logTime, IFNULL(lmr.logTime, 0))' at line 7 Archivo: /home/iberianm/public_html/foro/Sources/Recent.php Línea: 742
Instead, I use athe wrapper component to link directly to the foum wia URL avoiding the calls from the bridge component. Till someone manages to help me I thought it would be the best
Anyway I just noticed that I don't get error with firefox, and recent posts showed smothly from custom login (just witht the font affair)
First, users get logged out when they close their browser, no cockie is sent after I installed the bridge, maybe is expiration time of the login? how can I change
This is my biggest affair, as we use the module a lot, have a problem with recent topics module it does show main page of forums with following message instead of forums, or the think it should show:
No database selected Archivo: /home/iberianm/public_html/modules/mod_smf_recent_topics.php Línea: 68
Have 2 problems with the optional login, first one is same as kay920 , tried the solution you gived in the thread (disabling database driven sessions) and still have same error.
The other one is more a style one, I don't like the way it shows the forum, cause it takes the font from site, also does not wrap correctly, important part shows perfectly, bit it does not scale to space and seems a bit cut out any way to avoid this?
Thanks for help
I loved this component since first time I saw the recent post and the optional login some versions ago:)
UPDATE: don't know why recent posts module started working flawnessly on his own that's a great IA hope it's permanent, still would love if you could take a look to the other affairs, the style thing and why I don't keep people logged
I'm having problems with recent topics mod, when I run it, the module shows all the forum with an error, thath no db was specified in line 69...
This happens since I'm using the smf beta 3... and I think to remember that this was caused cause the mod version did not work still with smf beta 3...
can someone confirm me this please?
Just installed the 1.2 version again and happens same, so I suppose no new version has appeared yet solving it?
