1  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 1.0.x / Blog Catagory Control on: August 21, 2007, 03:19:14 PM
Hello all,

I am using Joomla 1.0.10 with a custom theme with an extended menu module from de.siteof.de.

Here is my issue. My blog categories are in the same section but they are all laid out different. One blog category provides a list of all articles in the category, the next provides no list, but article previews, the next category provides previews but its laid out in one column on top then two on the bottom. Can anyone tell me how to regain control over this?

I would like them all to show up like this category....

but not like this....

Thanks in advance for any help that you can give. Wink

Hi all,

We have just undergone a major overhaul of our joomla powered site. Joomla! 1.0.10 Stable
We have applied a new template from http://www.joomlashack.com/
Next we installed an extended menu module from http://de.siteof.de/extended-menu.html

Then we uninstalled the old non-working OpenSEF component and installed a new one from this site: http://www.artio.cz/ JoomSEF v1.3.3

The site is working well, but we now have the following three issues that must be fixed somehow.

1. Guest users are now getting an error such as “You are not authorized to view this resource. You need to login.” when trying to view articles from two sections, but not the third section, which works as it is supposed to. The permissions are all set to public on everything across the board.

2. There is an annoying search box just under the top menu. I would like to get rid of it because it is not necessary to have two search boxes.

3. When a user clicks on the top most menu item (the catagory) itself, the displayed articles comes up in TWO columns instead of ONE as it should.

If anyone would please visit our site and tell us what you think about these issues we would greatly appreciate your input. I have been a joomla admin for  over a year now but for the life of me, I can't figure these three issues out.
