Thank you for your post. The problem right now is I am so occupied by my day job. And I don't really have a lot of time to offer support right now. So it's just up to the community to help each other until I get some free time after my job contract.
As far are the ads are concerned, it's been there. And It just have to be there just like all other websites. I have responsibility to pay for the monthly rate on my dedicated server. It's not like I'm getting rich here, otherwise I would have just quit my day job and focus on this. I hope everyone understands, otherwise this website will just go offline.
I am looking forward to continue development and improvements, but I really can't say when. And I really thank everyone who has helped in providing support on the bridge. I've done it initially by myself with no help from anyone. And I did it for more than a year. But you know, this is not a career, this is a hobby.
I just want to tell everyone that I will be continuing development of the JSMF component as Wolverine takes a break. Some of you might not know me, but I started JSMF way back from the Mambo times, and of course it was called Mambo-SMF. I was doing development until JSMF version 1.2 when Wolverine picked it up.
I'll try my best to give support. But please bare with me.
Josh, Thanks for picking this project up. You've kept this project alive! I know i haven't been around as much as how I used to. But my reasons then are the same as your reasons now.
Goodluck!
To all new users, I might find some time in the coming months to continue where Wolverine left off. I will also try to give user support when I can, when i'm online. So please bare with me.
To all the expert users, It would be a big help if you can help new members in the JoomlaHacks community forum as well.
I've been thinking of doing this... and until now i am still just thinking. There is no good component out there to handle it. CB maybe ok, but i'm still waiting for something robust.
And I just want to say, there is no such thing as "IMPOSSIBLE" in programming. There is always a way. The only challenge is doing the right implementation, which the Jhacks team has always aimed for.
But of course we cannot avoid some hiccups along the way. We just have to fix it.
I need to know what PHP version... etc you are using. I can't help you without this information. Because it is working on my system.
Like I said, I don't have a lot of time to do support for a "FREE" component. And I hope you all understand this. I'm maybe avaiable on weekends to work for few hours on this.
