just being a troublemaker Cheesy But I note that you PAID for support from JoomlaPAL which you didnt get (for a 7 days now) but were rescued by Wolverines support Smiley

hehehehe...
Yeah it's pretty bad when you pay for support and don't get it. But Thanks to Wolverine Grin, my webmaster will be able to fix this problem and I will finally be able to use the portal. This is the only forum I will post to if something else happens.  By the way anyone got any idea what Joomlapal's problem is when it comes to customer service? I see they removed their phone number too. Roll Eyes

Adding &staticfile=filename.html to the URL to make it:

http://www.womensavenue.com/portal/index.php?option=com_joomlapal&Itemid=47&staticfile=filename.html

you will get the error message:

Error: Static file components/com_joomlapal/staticfiles/filename.html not found.

So I suspect either there is a configuration of a static file that needs to be set or the component is not correctly adding the parameter to the URL.  Do you know which html file it should be accessing?

No I do not because when i purchased it, I paid ofr the installation by the tech support at joomlapal, which as I stated has yet to answer any of my support tickets or emails. So I have no clue. But if needed I can give you the info you access it to find out

my guess is that the URL is missing the parameter staticfile.  What is the URL of the page when you see this error(you can ommit the domain name for privacy)

http://www.womensavenue.com/portal/index.php?option=com_joomlapal&Itemid=47

I use Mambo for a portal and recently purchased the joomlapal for membership, which was installed by the tech there. When someone goes to membership registeration, it will not allow the to register. Now i have sent numerous emails to support and as of this morning have yet to receive any response. Been waiting 6 days for a answer. So i am coming to you knowledgable people on this. I would appreciate any hel;p possible on fixing this as i can use my portal for my business and am loosing money from it. below is the error anyone gets when they trry to register.

Missing parameter!
Put the file(s) in the staticfiles directory or a subdirectory of it.
Usage:
index.php?option=com_joomlapal&staticfile=filename.html
or
index.php?option=com_joomlapal&staticfile=directoryname/filename.html

Thank you for any help with this in advance. I am so frustrated
