OK i use:

Version Information:
Your Joomla version is: 1.0.12
Your SMF version is: 1.1.1
Your Joomla-SMF version: 2.0
Serverstuff is up to date...(Php, Apache, MySQL)

I am having several problems which i wasn't able to solve by using the FAQ and by searching the forums.
----------------------
#1 My users are getting logged out all the time while switching the section/module of my page (for example going from forum to gallery or guestbook). Something is making problems there

#2 I just added some content to a category of my JOOMLA! recently. Now everytime i wanna open the Section (which is parental to the category the content item belongs to) I am getting redirected to the forums with the following error message there:
Code:
You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ' 0, 1, SUBSTRING('[community] asdfg', 1, 255), SUBSTRING('[url=http://h
Datei: /www/springer/springer-wt.de/htdocs/priv/smf/Sources/Subs-Post.php
Zeile: 1518

If u wanna have a look at it go here: http://www.springer-wt.de/priv and click on NEWS which is left navigation.

These problems occure since i installed the bridge and I cannot find the damn problem....

4  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 2.0.x / Several Problems with Sessions on: January 16, 2007, 01:11:12 PM
My users report problems with login as well as being logged out while skipping to a different module (example: user is getting logged out while going from guestbook to linklist). Me is having similar problem:
I use a little module whihc transports the session from the frontend to the backend so u don't need to login twice to access the admin area. It always tells me: "admin session expired".

So somehow login and stuff is messed up and I don't know y. All extensions are up to date including the SMF forums and the Bridge.

Any ideas?

Sebastian

PS: I like the Bridge except for that problem, very excellent work. Wink

ah another thing, the lates post module gives me this:
Code:
Warning: main(/www/springer/springer-wt.de/htdocs/priv/administrator/components/com_smf/config.smf.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /www/springer/springer-wt.de/htdocs/priv/modules/mod_smf_recent_topics.php on line 31

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required '/www/springer/springer-wt.de/htdocs/priv/administrator/components/com_smf/config.smf.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/php:/usr/share/pear') in /www/springer/springer-wt.de/htdocs/priv/modules/mod_smf_recent_topics.php on line 31
which i guess is a problem of the failes file patch...but i am not sure

#1 I am not able to patch the forum files during the installation of the SMF Bridge.
Failed: Permission problem, unable to open file: *path*
The path is correct and the permission ist set to 2777. I have no clue where the problem ist
EDIT: It finally worked after reuploading and re-chmod-ing the files...2nd problem still persists

#2 When I install mods, coms or bots via the installation interface of the joomla backend i can afterwards neither access nor alter nor overwrite the directory/files...does anyone have a suggestion for solving that??

tjx for ur help guys
Sebi
