1  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 2.0.x / Re: Redirect 'Register' link on: February 09, 2007, 08:34:30 PM
Yeah, that's how I have it configured bro, but if the 'register' link in SMF is used, it still goes to the SMF registration page.  I would like for it to go to CB.
2  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 2.0.x / Redirect 'Register' link on: February 09, 2007, 02:48:33 PM
Hey Wolverine Smiley

I wonder is it possible to redirect the SMF "Register" link to the CB registration page?  Why I ask, I would like anyone that finds the forum and wishes to register, also be registered for access to the rest of my site with the one registration process.

Any advice would be appreciated!

TIA

RS

Hey guys!  Have been following the thread with interest Smiley  Have reset CB & SMF both to 65x65 across the board for images.  However still getting the pixellation from CB to SMF. Might try another few, see if that makes any difference.  How did antone else's turn out?

No all CB image options are defaults.  When I say 'pixellated', I mean pixellated!!!  Waaaaaay beyond 'grainy' 'noisy' or any other descriptive 'industry jargon' term for it! It's a beaut image when viewed in the programme (either SMF or J!), in which it is installed (or any other image viewer in fact), but when the bridge takes it to the other component, it goes all to hell, one way or the other.

Thanks Wolverine, found that, but am having a few problems...
Have followed the advice as quoted from the http://forum.4theweb.nl site, and have not to date had a reply to my query.  Have uninstalled/reinstalled several times, always with the same result, as follows:

Some extra information.

Update notice:
[LIST=1]
  • MAKE A BACKUP!!!
  • uninstall Gallery 2 bridge and if needed Joomlalib.
  • Install Joomlalib.
  • Install Gallery 2 bridge.
  • Make sure everything works after running the setup.
  • Install any needed modules
Upcoming releases:

Greetings.  I have done all the above, in the settings the G2 path & URL appear as they should, have modified the Login URL to /index.php?option=com_comprofiler because I am using CB 1.0.2, and have also tried with /index.php?option=com_login.

When I try to sync my users, all I get is:

The users from Joomla 1.0.12 are all appearing correctly in the G2 Users list (I have deleted all the users from G2, run the sync again and they're back), but the bridge is not working, neither logging in nor out it seems.

Can anyone offer any advice please?  I am able to follow simple instructions if you type nice & slowly Smiley

Apologies if I have posted this in the wrong place.

TIA, Regards

sh$te! Sorry for wasting your time Wolverine... no mate the J!/CB/SMF bridge is awesome, just a wee niggle with avatar resizes, but that is minor.  No, why i was posting was looking for advice of which is the best bridge to use to achieve the same result with J!/CB and G2
7  General Discussion / General Discussion / Joomla/CB/SMF/G2.2 advice on: January 29, 2007, 03:04:55 AM
OK, I'm running Joomla 1.0.12, CB 1.0.2, SMF 1.1.1 (all bridged with Wolverines bridge -awesome work!) and Gallery 2.2, which is a nightly SVN.  I was hoping that Wolverine had built a G2 bridge also, as the SMF one works so well!  Alas I can find no evidence of same.  So here I am, seeking advice of the best bridge to use to get J!/CB/SMF all bridged sweetly with G2.2  Obviously I don't want to tip up the existing bridge on the way, as I have had happen previously, so any and all advice would be gratefully received!

Best regards

Likewise!  I too have this problem... either I have tiny avatars in CB where it has picked them up from SMF, or badly pixellated enlargements of a tiny image in SMF where they have been picked up from CB.  I too have the latest versions of everything, and can't find a solution.

This bridge is fantastic, worked straight out-of-the-box -and that's a first!  Well impressed, but I would dearly like to see this minor issue sorted.

Can anyone help please?
9  General Discussion / General Discussion / 500 Internal Server Error on: January 15, 2007, 03:07:00 PM
Greetings

Since installing the bridge (-which seems to be working well BTW!) I have been getting a lot of 500 Internal Server Error messages.  When I refresh the page though, it loads as expected.  I have searched the forum, can find nothing recent in this regard.

My set-up:
Joomla 1.0.12
CB 1.0.2
Joomla-SMF bridge -most recent, with cb plugin 2.0.1
SMF 1.1.1
running on PHP 5

Any advice would be appreciated!
