Hi,

I need to pass the joomla username & password at then end of the calling url to another site in a wrapper

I know this is not connecting to SMF but I thought that I might be able to use part of this bridge (or is there a simpler, more direct way?) and that the quality of support on this forum might get me a solution 

I appreciate that my users will have to update both sites if they want to change passwords and that the passing the password in a url is a slight security risk but I have no real alternative.  The 'other' site is a one-off development on a different server and uses Tomcat/PostgreSQL so proper bridging is not realistic.

I am looking through this bridge's code to try and understand how it works but I'm new to php and don't understand how variables are passed.

Any advice greatly appreciated.
