1  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 2.0.x / Re: JSMF 2.0.2.1 on: June 03, 2008, 05:25:00 AM
Running Joomla 1.0.15 and SMF 1.1.4 with the latest bridge (wrapped) and have hit this snag.

When logged in as a registered user, certain posts are showing a totally blank page. If browsing as a guest, these same posts can be viewed OK.

Unwrapped, everything appears OK.

EDIT: Sorry, found the fix for this here - http://www.joomlahacks.com/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,94/topic,4662.0

I'd like to know the answer to this as well. Trying to find the latest versions of modules is a struggle in the downloads section of the site.
2  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 2.0.x / Re: [solve] Blank page on some topics in wrapped mode on: June 03, 2008, 05:21:07 AM
Problem : When you are in Wrapped mode some of SMF topics cant be open, blank page comes.

(my config J1.0.15, CB 1.1, SMF 1.1.4 and JSMF 2.0.2.1 but should be a problem with other versions)

The problem occur only on wrapped mode and concern topic with more than 1 page to show or/and only if there is more than 11 posts per page. (number should be different in some case)

Solution : That's very strange I don't understand why (I'm not a programmer sorry) BUT I found a way to solve it, quiet easy :
On SMF Admin go to Forum/Posts and Topics > Topic Settings > Number of posts per page in a topic page:
and write 11 or less (10 is good, may be try different value if doesn't work )

Phew! Thanks for that fix. I'm running the same config and had the same problem.

4  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 2.0.x / Re: JSMF 2.0.2.1 on: May 31, 2008, 01:53:42 AM
The install went smoothly (Joomla 1.0.15 & SMF 1.1.5) but after patching the files in admin I get this error...

Warning: Unexpected character in input: ''' (ASCII=39) state=1 in /home/shetland/public_html/forum/SSI.php on line 1366

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '<' in /home/shetland/public_html/forum/SSI.php on line 1366

Line 1366 is this...

<div class="smaller">', $news['time'], ' ', $txt[525], ' ', $news['poster']['link'], '</div>

Anyone know what this problem could be?

EDIT: Fixed. The SSI.php file hadn't uploaded properly!

6  Joomla Hacks / Mambo-SMF 1.3.x / Re: Synchronize problem -- SMF members to Mambo on: June 19, 2005, 04:28:58 PM
Further to my last post on this subject, I though I'd better do some further testing - real simple stuff this but bear with to see if I've got my logic right...

[1] Registered a new test user via Mambo
[2] Verified the user via email link
[3] Logged as in admin into Mambo, went to SMF memberlist and new test user doesn't appear
[4] Logout as admin, login as new test user
[5] Goto memberlist and the new test user account is there.

So, my assumption is this. Not all users who have registered on Mambo have visited the Forum. Is this correct logic?
7  Joomla Hacks / Mambo-SMF 1.3.x / Re: Synchronize problem -- SMF members to Mambo on: June 19, 2005, 02:48:09 PM
I have a related issue.

Mambo 4.5.2
MamboSMF Forum 1.3.1.2
SMF 1.0.4

Mambo User Manager tells me I have 46 registered members.
SMF tells me I have 40 registered members.

When I run the 'verify' option in Mambo-SMF Forum Configuration there are no error messages. However, when I then the run the 'click to sync' option I get this error at the top of config window...

Failed: Please enter a valid Username:. No spaces, more than 2 characters and contain 0-9,a-z,A-Z

Any help gratefully received.

David.

Alon, you need to map the SMF CSS file to your Mambo CSS
9  Joomla Hacks / Mambo-SMF 1.3.x / Re: Savebutton not working on: June 18, 2005, 09:17:50 AM
I have also had this problem

Mambo 4.5.2.1
MamboSMF 3.1.2
SMF 1.0.4

Running Win XP, IE. Save, cancel, user & language options all not working
Tried to admin from my iMac running Safari & no problems.

Guess it's an IE thing...
10  Joomla Hacks / Mambo-SMF 1.3.x / Open 'Recent Topics' mod in new window on: June 05, 2005, 08:04:40 AM
How can I change the Recent Topics mod to open up SMF in a new window?

Cheers,

David
