1  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 2.0.x / SEF Extension on: February 26, 2007, 10:23:51 AM
There has been some talk in forums (mostly old) on SEF support for the bridge. Wolverine, do you plan on creating/adding SEF support to the bridge. I think that is really one of the last things that is missing and would be a great thing to see.

Thanks

This works like a charm... even with the current release of the bridge. I have one question though. How would one modify it so that it would update upon new user signup?

after making the change go into JSMF config and click save which clears the cache

Same problem... I will be more then happy to give you backend access so you can see it for yourself.. let me know if you would like access.

Really?  I've been thinking about a better way to handle high volume sites and I will be working on a patch.  For now, go into components/com_smf/smf.class.php and change line 394 and 395 by commenting them out.
Code:
//array_push($cache_search, $orig);
//array_push($cache_replace, $new_link);

This should prevent this error from being produced.  Additionally, turn off function caching in the JSMF configuration.  I'll be working on a patch.

That prevents the error, but the problem still exist for me with hitting a "blank page" after hitting reply, new topic etc..

The cache lifetime is too long for the bridge.  I will be shortening it in the next release so the cache file shouldn't get as large as it appears to be getting on some sites.  I may look to make it configurable as well.

Wolverine, when will you have the next release, or can you post a fix. I have work around but its not pretty.

How may I fix this in the meantime, it is beginning to happen a lot now, site is growing really fast and has quite a few people on at the same time.

I am not sure what the issue is, but this might be a bug. The issue I have found was with JoomlaStats 2.11 Stable to 2.15 Beta, did not test anything things older.

Joomla 1.0.11
JSMF 2.0RC3
SMF 1.1 Final

Code:
PHP Fatal error:  Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 58368 bytes) in /var/www/website.com/httpdocs/components/com_joomlastats/joomlastats.inc.php on line 761, referer: http://www.jimpruett.net/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=2&board=2.0

At first it took me back, because I thought my memory_limit had changed from 16M back to 8M, verified it was 16M and in fact bumped it up to 20M to safe. Same error.. I backed out Joomlastats and began to try multiple versions, all gave me THE "BLANK PAGE OF DEATH" after trying to start a New Topic. Any help would be appreciated and for mean time I have removed JoomlaStats which is a 1st for me since I run it on somewhere near 30 sites. This is first time I have used the JSMF bridge and I like it, better integration than the phpBB+CB integration I use on 15 of my sites.

My hats go off to you Wolverine.
