Also having this issue. I'm using Joomla 1.0.13, SMF 1.1.4 (fresh install), and the latest version of JSMF 2.0.2.1. Is there a solution?

I had the same problems after my webhost updated the server. Clearing all caches in the Joomla backed solved my problem.
