1  Joomla Hacks / Mambo-SMF 1.3.x / Error Synchronizing Users on: October 13, 2005, 12:12:39 AM
When I attempt to sync Mambo with the 190+ users I have in SMF, I only get up to the E's when I get this error:

Syncing username Esteve-O Failed! Please enter a valid Username:. No spaces, more than 2 characters and contain 0-9,a-z,A-Z

I don't know why it would fail, but is there any other way around this error?
I am using Mambo 4.5.2.3, SMF 1.0.5, and Mambo-SMF integration 1.3.1.3.
2  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF Forum / SMF 1.1 support? on: July 08, 2005, 06:13:00 PM
Cowboy, first I want to tell you how much I appreciate all your efforts in building the Mambo-SMF integration mod.  I have been testing it on a board I'm developing for the Healthcare IT industry using Mambo 4.1.5.3 and SMF 1.05.

I'm creating another website and installed SMF 1.1 beta3(public) instead of the stable 1.05; however, the Mambo-SMF integration does not install on the SMF side (it warns that there are several errors and I should not continue).
I am considering going back to SMF 1.0.5 in order to use your mod, but if you are on the verge of releasing SMF 1.1 support, I won't need to back-rev.

Can you tell me if you are more than two weeks away from releasing SMF 1.1 support?

I uninstalled the SMF package and reinstalled.  The screen indicated it was successful after I clicked proceed.  Also, each one of the elments indicated a successful install:
1. Execute Modification ./index.php Success
2. Execute Modification ./Themes/default/script.js Success
3. Execute Modification ./Sources/Post.php Success
4. Execute Modification ./Sources/Subs-Post.php Success
5. Execute Modification ./Sources/Profile.php Success
6. Execute Modification ./Sources/Subs.php Success
7. Execute Modification ./Sources/LogInOut.php Success
8. Execute Modification ./Sources/QueryString.php Success

The error still appears, though.
5  Joomla Hacks / Mambo-SMF 1.3.x / Error on index.php line 38 on: June 01, 2005, 02:07:07 AM
I have completely uninstalled the 1.3.1.1 Mambo-SMF integration, and reinstalled the new 1.3.1.2 version; however, I still have the same problem when I click on "Forum" from the Mambo menuitem list:

Notice: Constant SMF already defined in C:\Documents and Settings\rdelacruz\My Documents\Web\rgvoffroad\healthcaretechies\forum\index.php on line 38

This appears at the top of the forum page, even though the forum appears to work correctly.  This error gives visitors to the site an uneasy feeling about something being unreliable.  I would very much like to get rid of this, but don't know how.

If anyone can help me, it would be greatly appreciated.

I need help with the error listed below.  I have posted this elsewhere in this forum, but have not received an answer yet.  Does anyone know how to resolve this?

I have the identical problem, except when I applied the 1.3.1.1 fix, the "Constant SMF already exists...on line 38" error did not go away.  I also have the admin error when I go into the mambo-smf config:

Notice: Use of undefined constant mambo - assumed 'mambo' in C:\Documents and Settings\rdelacruz\My Documents\Web\rgvoffroad\healthcaretechies\administrator\components\com_smf\admin.smf.php on line 224
>Mambo

Notice: Use of undefined constant cb - assumed 'cb' in C:\Documents and Settings\rdelacruz\My Documents\Web\rgvoffroad\healthcaretechies\administrator\components\com_smf\admin.smf.php on line 225
>CB

I've had trouble with the SMF-mambo integration 1.3.1 toolkit.  Both
Mambo and SMF work fine independently; however, the integration module
always returns the following error when I access the Mambo home page after integration steps are complete:

Notice: Constant SMF already defined in C:\Documents and
Settings\rdelacruz\My Documents\Web\rgvoffroad\healthcaretechies\forum\index.php on line 38

Here are the steps I've done:
  (WinXP SP2, MySQL 4.0.16-max-nt, PHP 4.3.4.4, Apache 2.0.48)
 1. Mambo 4.5.2 (with 4.5.2.1 patch)new install
 2. SMF 1.0.3 new install (same database as mambo)
 3. Install mambo-smf component from Mambo Admin
 4. Install SMF-Mambo int package from SMF Admin
 5. Configure Mambo component
   a. corrected path, then save
   b. 4 checklist items=installed,installed,done,done
 6. Load mambo home page, above error appears.  Can you tell me how to
correct this error regarding the "Constant SMF"?

I have completely deleted all SMF and Mambo files, as well as the database and reinstalled at least five times; however, I always end up with the same error.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

One difference I have is that I have not installed any CB or other login compoents or modules, since I thought the Mambo-SMF bridge used the native login process.
