1  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 2.0.x / Re: New bridge for SMF 114? on: September 27, 2007, 04:39:19 PM
OK were you guys able to complete the patch through admin/packages in smf or did you have to do it manually. Everytime I have tried to upload the package I receive an error stating the package is corrupt or wrong version...

Hey came here to ask the same question and I see we have some good feedback! I have one question we still need to make sure we have un-patched the source files before upgrading correct? Just wanted to make sure... Thanks

Update! I'm using a custom smf theme and for some reason that's where the problem lies and not so much with the wrapper! I have a Rocket Theme and a custom member submission of a matching smf theme! I found that the post.template.php that resides in the custom pack was different from the default. Kept troubleshooting and found I can spell check while wrapped with default and babylon theme soooo I swapped the post.template.php and viola!!! So far everything is working with the exception of attachment preview... So I hope this helps out gang!

Followed user guide to a T! As far as the patch 2.0.2a did absolutely nothing to fix the above...

So sorry dude... I found the thread on the update. I'll try it when I get home.

There are actually a few more things broken at the moment while smf is wrapped.

No attachment preview....

Can not insert quote from the below topic summary....

Of course the spell check box is blank....

And I installed a mod for smf called urlpopup which no longer works in wrapped mod....

I'm hoping I get home and apply the patch and everything is A O K.... But I'm not holding my breath...LOL

So do I just uninstall my current bridge and install the 2.0.2a?

Same here! Works as long as smf is not wrapped. When wrapped spell check box pops up but plain white box with the change ingore, etc... buttons at bottom.

14  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 2.0.x / Smiley popup not working in joomla? on: May 16, 2007, 11:43:51 AM
OK not sure it this is where I should post this... I also searched and could not find the answer? I just moved my site from on hos to a new one. I have updated the database to include all my smf members and topics from old site. The problem I'm having is that when I select to create a popup window in smf for my smileys I get an error when it is wrapped in joomla. It's fine when I view smf outside joomla...

This is the error that is in the reply window or new topic:
'); for (row = 0; row < smileys.length; row++) { for (i = 0; i < smileys[row].length; i++) { smileys[row][2] = smileys[row][2].replace(/"/g, '"'); smileyPopupWindow.document.write('' + smileys[row][2] + ''); } smileyPopupWindow.document.write("
"); } smileyPopupWindow.document.write('

Other than this my forums seem to be fine... Like I said it's only when wrapped I have this problem I can not make any new topics or reply as long as I have the smiley popup enabled.

Should I reinstall the Joomla-SMF bridge? I'm really lost here! It sucks because this a nice feature for the Lots_O_Smileys pack for smf...
