You probably find your error logs in the control panel (Cpanel, Plesk or directadmin) of your host.

Indeed, anyway not from Joomlahacks.

As I read your story, I think your host has a special way of handling email, probably out of security reasons. The easiest way to go is just ask your host, that's why you pay them.

Good luck with your forms

A blank page normally means a fatal error in the php code. Please check your error log and post the involved lines here with some info about your server.

Unfortunately, since Joomla 1.0.13 there is a difference in the password hash. Also the Joomla 1.5.x  version is not compatible with Mambo.

Note: it's possible to overwrite the new Joomla password code with the old, to fix this on the short term.

Hi Chris,

For Fireboard support please go to http://www.bestofjoomla.com/content/blogsection/3/9/

Please note there is a bridge for Phpbb3 and joomla, so users don't have to register twice.
99  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 1.0.x / Re: Need Help This isn't Working on: May 27, 2008, 02:56:26 AM
Hi Brandon,

For Joomla 1.0.15 you need JSMF 2.0.2.1. Try that first. See my signature for the download location.

There is a quick and dirty way, but this is more secure. In your case it's recommended, because you have to upgrade everything.

  • note your settings JSMF in the JSMF configuration panel
  • set Joomla off line in the configuration
  • set SMF off line in the SMF administration
  • BACK UP ALL YOUR FILES!
  • BACK UP YOUR DATABASE!
  • In the installation tab of JSMF unpatch Joomla
  • In the installation tab of JSMF unpatch SMF
  • Uninstall JSMF
  • Upgrade Joomla 1.0.x according to the instructions
  • Upgrade SMF 1.1.x according to the instructions
  • Verify Joomla and SMF are working fine stand alone
  • Install the latest JSMF
  • In the installation tab of JSMF patch Joomla
  • In the installation tab of JSMF patch SMF
  • Configure JSMF like it was
  • set Joomla on line in the configuration
  • set SMF on line in the SMF administration

And off you go!

BTW did I mention to backup?  Tongue

btw is theier a bridge for smf 2.0 beta 3.1?

Nope, next time check the forums before you do a big upgrade. It will save you a lot of time.
103  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 1.0.x / Re: very simple url link question on: May 23, 2008, 02:36:26 AM
I can hardly imagine that JSMF did this. Because you don't need a "Link - URL" in your menu but a "Component - Joomla SMF" link. You create one this way:
administration > menu > mainmenu > new > choose "Component" > Fill in "Forum and choose "Joomla SMF Forum"> save. That should do it.
104  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 2.0.x / Re: Impossible to register or to log in on: May 22, 2008, 12:08:22 PM
Don't give up!

done [verify]    Optional: Synchronize Joomla and SMF users(username or real name).

You did the above already? and you see the users in SMF and Joomla? You are really, really sure you are using 2.0.2.1?

Like I said the second one is Joomla. It's using com_photo but I can't figure out it's real name.

Probably it's listed here: http://extensions.joomla.org/index.php?option=com_mtree&task=listcats&cat_id=1779&Itemid=35
