Aloha,
I'm getting ready to upgrade my forums and have a quick question:

Will the following JSMF components work w/ JSMF 2.02.1:
JSMF Recent Topics 2.0.2
JSMF Login 2.0.4
JSMF Who's Online 2.0
Three times YESSSSS  Grin

Do I uninstall these times before upgrading?

Nope.

Free tip: please pay attention to my post in this topic of may 26th. And don't forget to backup Grin

Start reading over here: http://help.joomla.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=56&Itemid=68

For Joomla templates, I can recommend www.joomlaos.de

Well I try the JMSF bridge for Joomla 1.015 and SMF 1.15 in my localhost and it works. However I have a problem. The Absolute SMF path in the Joomla Administration backend keep on changing.

Administrator>Components>Joomla-SMF forum>Install>SMF Abolute Path>C:wampwwwzogamforum

it is suppose to be C:\wamp\www\zogam\forum

Even after changing to the correct path... after a few minutes or clicks.. it revert back to C:wampwwwzogamforum

Please check this topic: http://www.joomlahacks.com/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,94/topic,1258.msg20979#msg20979

(probably it will show you double slashes???)
64  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 1.0.x / Re: Absolute Path problem [Solved] on: June 02, 2008, 08:21:18 AM
FTP to your SMF forum folder. Create a file called "path.php". In this file paste the following code:

Code:
<?php
echo $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'];
?>

In your browser surf to the file path.php (example: http://www.mydomain.com/forum/path.php) Now you will see the path to your forum. Good luck.
65  General Discussion / Help & Tips / Re: User ACL and Login on: June 02, 2008, 02:25:39 AM
Just enable the standard core login module in the right place. That should do it.

Joomla has still no ACL Sad There are some components who add those functionality, but it's making upgrading in the future much complexing.

Looks like it you are installing on Joomla 1.5. That won't work anyway...
67  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 2.0.x / Re: JSMF 2.0.2.1 on: May 29, 2008, 07:27:03 AM
Did you check this with different browsers?
68  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 1.1.x / Re: Install error on: May 29, 2008, 07:25:46 AM
Which version do you mean with latest Joomla version? Also you are posting in the JSMF 1.1.x forum section. That version is obsolete, please check out my signature for the latest JSMF

70  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 1.1.x / Re: Joomla-SMF Forum Installation on: May 28, 2008, 02:34:46 AM
You probably find your error logs in the control panel (Cpanel, Plesk or directadmin) of your host.

so bottom line is their won't be a joomla bridge for smf 2.0 beta 3.1

Indeed, anyway not from Joomlahacks.
72  General Discussion / General Discussion / Re: My contact form not working and cannot start new thread in fireboard. on: May 28, 2008, 02:27:29 AM
As I read your story, I think your host has a special way of handling email, probably out of security reasons. The easiest way to go is just ask your host, that's why you pay them.

Good luck with your forms

A blank page normally means a fatal error in the php code. Please check your error log and post the involved lines here with some info about your server.
75  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 2.0.x / Re: Joomla shows a white page on front and backend on: May 27, 2008, 05:39:09 AM
Unfortunately, since Joomla 1.0.13 there is a difference in the password hash. Also the Joomla 1.5.x  version is not compatible with Mambo.

Note: it's possible to overwrite the new Joomla password code with the old, to fix this on the short term.
