Okay, it's installed on a test server. Do you have mod_rewrite active on apache? Sometimes it's not installed by default.

Does disabeling seo in Joomla solve your problem?

If you use SMF, you could use the member list. Also You could use the build-in contacts component of Joomla.

Over here is no OSCbrigde support.

Go to your joomla administration > Installers > Components. There is a list with installed components with their homepages.

Is this a fresh install or an upgrade? Try to uninstall JSMF and reinstall it strictly according to the JSMF manual.

I have the habit to do the user administration in SMF. SMF is also better in user levels.

Do you have the optimal settings for Joomla, SMF and JSMF according the JSMF manual? e.g. file compression off and so on? Try to disable all caching and compression in Joomla, SMF and JSMF.

Your are thinking the wrong way; Joomla is wrapped around SMF and not the other way around. You can remove the SMF header by editing your SMF template.
