1  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 2.0.x / Re: JSMF 2.0RC3 released on: December 19, 2006, 04:09:08 PM
Been looking for an answer to this all morning.  First thing, the line that it reports the fatal error from a piece of code that is custom time localization.  You may have a problem with you locale or custom time entered.  Other than that I don't know what might be conflicting on your site.  Missus is operating fine for me, but I don't have iJoomla installed.

Any progress on this issue. I have the conflict as you can see on the front page of www.eventfulholidays.com with Ijoomla. I updated Joomla-SMF Recent Topics 2.0.2
If you want I could pm you admin access details to my site, and it has JoomlaXplorer installed.

Yes I have this problem too. The Recent Forum Topics module seems to conflict with I Joomla.

See my posting here at:
http://www.joomlahacks.com/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=94&/topic,2680.msg13653.html

and at Ijoomla:

3  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 2.0.x / Re: mod_smf_recenttopics Fatal error on: November 30, 2006, 09:16:52 PM
I have the same problem, i try to use this module on main page then in forum section, same error. On main page i have links directory, virtuemart latest module, artbanner plus and marketplace, see main page here: www.mallromania.ro

It seems ijoomla conflicts with it. See also the other post:

I will try and see if Ijoomla can help. See my posting at:

5  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 2.0.x / Re: mod_smf_whosonline module can't show correct chatter satus if logged out site on: November 22, 2006, 02:58:54 PM
I am a newby s but here is something similar that i had.

I had this same problem with Flash Chat. When I shut down the Flash Chat window I had to press the close chat button, not just close the window. then I had to refresh the page. I am living with it at the moment. My access to Flash Chat is a menu selection off the front page, not in SMF, so maybe it is not related to J-SMF bridge.
6  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 2.0.x / Re: mod_smf_recenttopics Fatal error on: November 19, 2006, 06:55:29 PM
I don't see the mod published

I had renamed it to "Recent Forum Topics", but now as a test I reinstalled it, so it is back to the default name.

I set it to also show on the members page and it is ok, but on the home page it is not. On my local JSAS server it works but not on my hosted site. Any ideas.

Can see problem at www.eventfulholidays.com
7  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 2.0.x / Re: Copyright error message on: November 19, 2006, 06:05:57 AM
did you remove the SMF copyright? or did you install anothe language file?
No, I didn't do either. Maybe I got conflicts because the SMF mobius template is designed to work with the site Mobius template. I don't know.
8  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 2.0.x / mod_smf_recenttopics Fatal error on: November 19, 2006, 05:14:11 AM
I have just got the bridge working, but I have one error with mod_smf_recenttopics
Quote
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: () in /home/xxxx/public_html/smf/Sources/Subs.php on line 871
you can see it at www.eventfulholidays.com

Any ideas?
9  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 2.0.x / Local site (on JSAS) transfer to online host - How I did it on: November 18, 2006, 08:54:53 AM
Here is my process to move my site, which is using Joomla-SMF from my local host on top of Joomla Stand Alone Server (JSAS) to my hosted site. The issues I had have a lot to do with the path setting changes in J-SMF and SMF.

I thought this might help others, but I have to say I am a newby at Joomla, so these instructions may be explained badly or maybe I have done it the hard way and there is a much easier way. If there is an easier way, please do leave a message on the forum where I attached this.

Unfortunately no...but i'm pretty sure www.simplemachines.org will have a solution. You tried their forums yet..? what's the url to your site, by the way..?

I just made a change that I had missed on the Mobius joomla template instructions:

"A minor change is required in the Mobius joomla template in order for the SMF theme to know what color it should use. Open up the “index.php” file in your /templates/rt_mobius/ folder and modify the tag so it looks like this:
<body class="<?php echo $tstyle; ?> <?php echo $widthstyle; ?> <?php echo $fontstyle; ?>">"

Horay! It seems now the template works within Joomla. The address is:
www.eventfulholidays.com
I only get the error message if I bypass Joomla with www.eventfulholidays.com/smf

...Check if your forum is showing the footer. It could be that the theme you're using removed the footer.

It is showing the footer, which says:
"Powered by SMF 1.1 RC3 | SMF © 2001-2006, Lewis Media
Joomla Bridge by JoomlaHacks.com
Design by RocketTheme"
Looking at the files I can see the JSMF bridge makes some changes to the files and also the language files, so that is why I thought if you guys had a copy you might be able to see the solution easily... yeah, should have emailed it.

Any more ideas?
12  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 2.0.x / Copyright error message on: November 17, 2006, 06:21:59 AM
When I use JSMF on my local server it is okay, but when I move it to my online host I get this error message:
"Sorry, the copyright must be in the template. Please notify this forum's administrator that this site is using an ILLEGAL copy of SMF!"

I am using a Mobius template put out by Rockettheme SMF. In their forum at:
http://www.rockettheme.com/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=149&topic=5341.0
there is a message:
"I was using the JSMF bridge...IF you use the Wrapper instead of Wrapped, you get the error. There is a difference. In the JSMF config, set to wrapped, then when making a menu item, use the Link to Component feature and it works fine. Just don't use the Wrapper menu item. Make sense?
All the other templates don't do this, so musta been a small footer change that didn't let the board find the copyright."

I am doing this but I still have the error. Any ideas?

Ive got the same problem, trying to move local site to hosted. Also SMF 1.1 RC3 and Joomla 1.0.11. You find any solution for this?
14  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 2.0.x / Re: moving from local to host errors on: October 25, 2006, 08:32:33 AM
First of all, it appears you joomla install is in the directory W:\www\NEW_Eventful_holidays\.  That is windows, but you are giving it a unix path.  Further, you have no forward slash for your SMF path.  Remember, the path cannot be relative, it must be absolute.

Yes, I got myself confused here along with my learnign curve. Im setting up Joomla site for the first. Now I am rebuilding my site locally and I will have another go of moving it online in a week or two - hopefully I will get it right. By the way the Joomla -SMF integration is working really well on my local test site - all integrated with CB and the discuss bot is great.
15  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 2.0.x / Re: JSMF 2.0 RC1 released ijoomla magazine compatability on: October 25, 2006, 08:29:18 AM
Hi,

If I get ijoomla magazine will the mos_smf_discussbot work with its articles?

The mos_smf_discussbot is a great feature, by the way.
