1  Joomla Hacks / Mambo-SMF 1.3.x / is Mambo-SMF usefull for my casuistic ? on: December 28, 2005, 10:45:17 AM
Hi,

I have this enviroment: Mambo 4.5.2.3 and SMF 1.0.5.
Mambo doesn't permit the registry of new users. I've created manually each user.
SMF does permit user registry, but some of them are asigned by me to a certain group. So, in SMF I have 100 users inside a group and 100 "normal" users else.

Which I need is integrate the process of registry of new users between SMF and Mambo. And eventually I could active the new user registration on Mambo.
But the problem is how should I do to sincronize the actual users I have in Mambo and SMF ?
Because the problem is some users has changed its username in SMF, but not in Mambo (but I could ignore this problem by now...).
And besides it, some users has the same username, but different password.

So, is it is Mambo-SMF usefull for my casuistic ?

Thank you in advance...
2  General Discussion / General Discussion / access permission to a forum non-wrapped on: May 03, 2005, 10:59:40 AM
Hello,

I'm using the smf hack and is working fine in my mambo 4.5.2.1.
The only problem I have is I'm using the default smf theme, wich is widther than the central column of my mambo template. So, when I wrap the forum inside mambo, it loose some parts of the style (as lines) and it looks a kind uggly.

And I have a doubt: if I configure the forum menu (component) link as just for "registered" user, what happens if some user copy/paste the url of the forum directly ?? Well, I have to probe this, but I think whether I'm not use SMF wrapped inside mambo the non-registered users will can get the entire forum copying/pasting the link...

What I'd like to can do, is using the forum non-wrapped, but with access to then just for the registered users (and , of course, using your smf hack Smiley.

Thank you.
