Okay so i am new to joomla, and the whole webmaster experience, I have my site up but i am trying to add some custom modules,  so first question is, how do i know where the module is going to be placed when i pick one of the userdefined placements?  and b) is i have a script for an ad that i would like to place in the module, but how do i place that code.. when i do nothing shows up, or it just displays the actual code instead of the end result.   any help would be great appreciated

Okay so I am an idiot,  I Recently installed joomla, and then as i was installing smf into the same database, i reset the database pw, so now i have not access to my site, through joomla,  can anyone tell me how to reset the pw in the joomla config, without admin access.. or even any front end access   .. and like i said before,, I know im an idiot.
