Sorry for all the posts!

Tbh I don't really know what I done.  I followed these instructions -

As far as I can see, as long as I edit the forum profile with the new cb fields added (cb_gender, cb_signature etc) it works, but if I edit the forum profile using smf it still gives an error.  So I still have the problem but as long as I edit my smf profile through the new cb fields it works!

If for instance I upgrade someones account (in joomla) to admin or super admin then try and modify their smf profile I get that error message.  Normal registered users I can edit and save their profile ok.

Any more ideas?!

Yes, the forum is at www.mysite.com/forum and joomla is www.mysite.com/joomla.  I thought this was ok?

So I should have the forum at www.mysite.com/joomla/forum.  Is that right mate?

Ok done that.  I have noticed it only gives that error when I am changing an admins profile, works ok with normal registered users.

Ok seem to of fixed that.

The Forum Profile tab is not listed in drop down menu when creating a new field, only contact info,additional info and online status.

Any ideas guys?

EDIT: Found the problem,  needed to change a line in smf_profile.xml (before installing),

So the Forum Profile tab is shown when creating a new cb field.

Excuse me for being a bit dumb, but should the signature be a text field?  When I do this it only displays the url and not the sig?

Ok, seem to have the error back again, don't know what I have done.

Also, I followed the instructions from here -

but it seems its not changing the smf profile.  If I change my details via cb its not updating the smf profile, thats just staying the same, but its changing the cb profile

maybe uninstall everything and start again?
