16  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 1.1.x / Re: avatar sync between smf and cb on: July 12, 2006, 02:47:20 AM
Man this would be great-marvellous-fantastic! Grin
My users aren't that experienced and nearly all are having problems with their  avatars.
If you need someone to test it...you know whereyou can find me Wink

I had the same problem because I use smf not wrapped. I open smf in a new window so I do not need any back button. The only problem I have is that the jsmf links open the forum in the same window. But you can modify the smf php files and add the button...(if you need help ask in the smf community they have such solutions...)

ok post your code example. I want to see what you have in mind.

In my version the redirection to cb profile works. So at the moment this is my solution, but I don't know if I want to keep this configuration. The people just don't see their smf profile so they can't upload any avatar. SMF actually can't sync the avatars so the forum would be without avatars...

I gave up the idea of changing/hacking the smf code because I can't accept any error or prblems with my forum. That's why I wrote a fixed post in which I explained that the user shall upload his avatar in cb and insert the link in the forum...
It's not easy and it's not comfortable(for the user) but it's safe and a solution until wolverine finishes the new jsmf version...
Also a good solution for all of you that do not know much about coding...

  so far

I'm using joomla-smf_whos_online_1_4 on J1.0.10
these are the latest versions right? Maybe the error occurs again because of the joomla upgrade (which should fix bugs Roll Eyes, ok in this case security issue...)

I replicated this, not really sure why it is happening but I will look into it.
Me too, i tried it as fast as i could but nothing happened(if it happens only if someone can do it faster I don't care Tongue ).

Ok,
Aktuell $user_array Mitglied = actuall $user_array Member

and I would like to open the links supported by the module (eg. recent posts, profile,...) in a new window with browser navigation. At least I would like to have the possibility to do it(make option self_ or parent_)...
23  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 1.1.x / Re: Joomla-SMF 1.1.4 on: June 29, 2006, 08:25:02 AM
Hi Wolverine,
Yes, It's me, here I am again.
Congratulations for your new jsmf version!!!I tried it today and everthing works perfekt!(Now I use also joomla 1.0.1.0)
I'm also using your new login module (works also perfectly well) and your who's online module wich works 95% perfekt (displays an error if I want to display the number of guests:Aktuell $user_array Mitglied online). But I'm sure this is nothing difficult to fix right?

But I want to give you one suggestion (or take it as a wish from me):
Add the possibility to open the links displayed from the module in a new window for those who don't use smf wrapped. Now it's a bit tricky t navigate on my site (go back to main and so on...)

But I must say, I love it....

PS:Sorry for beeing so much time away but I had so much to do for the university...
24  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 1.1.x / Re: Bug: Cannot redeclare db_query on: April 06, 2006, 06:55:58 AM
But don't forget that older versions have other bugs...
Otherwise newer versions wouldn't exist...

I have the same problem after changing the smf owner from my user to wwwrun.
Maybe it is connected with this change?

I use joomla 1.07
SMF 1.1RC2 (+double post merge mod..)
jsmf 1.101
cb 1.0 RC2
jsmf cb plugin (latest)

Great thing, atm I have a workarround that i do not accept an avatar upload in smf and refer to the cb avatar...it's not perfect but it works...
27  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 1.1.x / Re: Joomla-SMF 1.1 on: March 24, 2006, 11:02:42 AM
I must say it again, great work man  Grin. On my site everything works without errors (wrapped I have some template problems...the background changes...). Nevertheless I'm just happy (and a bit tired of all the testing  Tongue )
28  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 1.1.x / Re: J-SMF 1.1RC2 & plug_cb_1.0.1 on: March 23, 2006, 05:24:30 PM
With firefox I had other experiences...But nevertheless I believe you...But  1.02 has this realy big bug so that I must use 1.01  until this issue will be fixed. I mean you can reomend something else...
Naturaly I'll be there for furher testings...
29  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 1.1.x / Re: J-SMF 1.1RC2 & plug_cb_1.0.1 on: March 23, 2006, 04:09:12 PM
Yeah man you are right it works...
And it's not just uninstall and install cb 1.02( i tried that one ...).
I hope this can wolverine detect the bug in the 1.02 version...
