I've this problem too.

try at http://www.ussajudo.it/cms

Anyone figure out this problem? It's weird cause it happens in that new phpbb bridge too. without any bridges installed it works fine, but with the bridges installed you can't even log into joomla.
2  General Discussion / Help & Tips / Changing the news format on the home page on: June 04, 2006, 11:21:55 PM
Does anyone here know how to change the way the news is displayed so I can have more than 3 articles displayed on the homepage. I also want it so every article looks the same instead of the most recent article stretching across the content section and the next two only splitting it. I would like every article to stretch across the content section.

Thanks in advance.

In the administrator go to content, content by section, news, add/edit news catergories. Click on latest news and in there change it to what you want it to say.
4  General Discussion / General Discussion / Re: My Project- need all the help I can get on: June 04, 2006, 12:59:23 AM
If you saw my site you would see that I was able to figure out most fo the formatting myslef from just playing around with a few things. What I need to know know is how to change the format with the way stories are displayed. Currently Joomla has it so the most recent story stretches across the content table and the next 2 recent stories are split. I would like it to be all the stories look the same and are stretched across the content table. I would also want it to show 10 stories instead of just 3. Is this a setting I can change in the joomla admin panel? If so where is it cause I've been looking all over for it. If not how can I change the code to make it the way I want it?
5  General Discussion / General Discussion / My Project- need all the help I can get on: June 03, 2006, 03:54:43 PM
Ok. Here is my project. I have this site www.thedieclan.com/gz with the bf2 template. I want to change it to look like this site: www.u5-gaming.com. I know its possible, I just need help doing it. Here is a couple things I need to do that I need help with.

I want the layout almost the exact same. Meaning I want a flash banner and flash buttons, Three blocks with the latest news, latest matches, and upcoming matches. Then I want one main column for news and such and one column to the right.

So I figured it is best to start with the layout first. First thing I need to do is get rid of the news flash module or where the news flash module should be and have the banner space spread into it so its one large banner.

If someone can tell me how to do this I might be able to do a lot more. It's probably in the edit css in the template, but I have no clue where it would be. I'm no stranger to coding, I just don't no php. Thanks to everyone who will help me out along the way and I'll put my finished work here to download.

When you go to the news page under Latest news it says : "The latest news from the Joomla! Team".

I was wondering how I can change that considering its not form the Joomla team.

Thanks

Sorry if I posted this in the wrong board. I wasn't sure where else it would go.

Thanks wolverine for helping so much, but don't give up on me now, lol... Got any other ideas what could be wrong?

Yes I have... It was different then what the readme file stated though. When I installed it there was no link that asked click to sync. It was already synced and just said done(verify). So I clicked verify. I should also mention that when I tried to patch it it just logged me out of the administrator and I had to login again and then click click to patch again. Is that normal?

I should also mention that I get the same exact error message when trying to login with the normal joomla login module. But when I uninstall the bridge the module works fine.

Ok we're going somewhere now. I uninstalled the other one and instaled the new one. Now when I try to login I get a message saying incorrect username/password. The username and password is right I tried it with 2 accounts and even tred creating a new one. Any ideas?

From my understanding, correct me if I'm wrong, the latest version of the bridge contains some code to display error messages if the username or password is incorrect and the older versions did not. So I'm guess the older versions were basically the same problem it just didn't have thats error message. It's gotta be something wrong with my database then?

Any ideas? Or should i just ditch the bridge and just include a link to the forums.
12  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 1.1.x / Re: Couple of bugs. (or maybe i just screwed up) on: March 07, 2006, 07:50:54 PM
Ok, I got that problem fixed... but I'm still stuck on the login not working.

I'm pulling my hair trying to get this thing to work. Why is it that I'm the only one with this problem? When I uninstall the bridge the login for joomla works fine. When I install it both modules (the joomla and the jooml-smf) redirect me to the forums and never actraully log me in. The only way I can log in is if I go to the smf index page and login.

EDIT: Ok good news, I figured out a way the login works. It only works if I hit login within the smf forum which brings me to this page: http://thedieclan.com/stgc/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=27&action=login

When I login using that it works fine and brings me to the homepage of the site and when I go back to the forums the bridge works perfect. So my question is how can I get it to work using the module?

Ok well thanks for the help so far but after upgrading I ran into some problems. When I try to go to the forums I just get a blanck screen. Check for yourself. http://www.thedieclan.com/stgc/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=26

It works fine without the bridge though. Do you think since I put the bridge on before I upgrades the forums it got screwed up somehow?
14  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 1.1.x / Re: Couple of bugs. (or maybe i just screwed up) on: March 07, 2006, 02:51:38 PM
Damn... cpanel said thats the latest version... oh well I guess I'll have to upgrade it.
15  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 1.1.x / Re: Couple of bugs. (or maybe i just screwed up) on: March 07, 2006, 02:21:39 AM
joomla is version 1.0.7
smf id version 1.0.5
bridge is version 1.1

Everything is the latest version.

I also have no clue what your talking about the no www... it works with or without www. I installed everything through cpanel.

Still no luck with logging in though. Any ideas?

EDIT: I just checked out the regular joomla login to see if that works but that doesn't work either. It doesn't log me into joomla.
