Aloha could someone refresh me - when upgrading bridged 1.1.5 to 1.1.6 I just need to run the package installer I don't have to go through that whole process of uninstalling the bridge.

I can't remember if it applies for these simple upgrades.

Hi Blue,

I think you got confused; the latest version of Joomla in the 1.0.x range is 1.0.15. Just recently SMF released 1.1.6. and yes, custom profile mod is compatible with that.

LOL - yup - sorry about that - glad to hear the bridge is good to go for this SMF upgrade

To follow-up - performed the upgrade via this walk through

Quote
note your settings JSMF in the JSMF configuration panel
set Joomla off line in the configuration
set SMF off line in the SMF administration
BACK UP ALL YOUR FILES!
BACK UP YOUR DATABASE!
In the installation tab of JSMF unpatch Joomla
In the installation tab of JSMF unpatch SMF
Uninstall JSMF
Upgrade Joomla 1.0.x according to the instructions
Upgrade SMF 1.1.x according to the instructions
Verify Joomla and SMF are working fine stand alone
Install the latest JSMF
In the installation tab of JSMF patch Joomla
In the installation tab of JSMF patch SMF
Configure JSMF like it was
set Joomla on line in the configuration
set SMF on line in the SMF administration

And everything went very smooth - kick ass!  Smiley

Aloha,
I'm getting ready to upgrade my forums and have a quick question:

Will the following JSMF components work w/ JSMF 2.02.1:
JSMF Recent Topics 2.0.2
JSMF Login 2.0.4
JSMF Who's Online 2.0

Do I uninstall these times before upgrading?  Then once the bridge upgrade is complete reinstall these items?
9  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 2.0.x / Re: SMF 1.1.2 Good to Install - Order of upgrade to SMF 1.1.2 and JSMF 2.0.2 on: March 03, 2007, 01:54:52 PM
Please use the search function. this question is asked several times.

best way to do is unpatch the Bridge then upgrade SMF.

Aloha!
As mentioned in the first post - I tried using the search term "SMF 1.1.2" and "1.1.2"  but recieved nothing relevant to answer my question.

Could you provide another search term?

11  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 2.0.x / SMF 1.1.2 Good to Install - Order of upgrade to SMF 1.1.2 and JSMF 2.0.2 on: February 28, 2007, 11:57:40 PM
Aloha everyone - Currently I'm running - JSMF 2.0 and SMF 1.1.1

I'm plan on upgrading to JSMF 2.0.2 via the patch then installing the SMF 1.1.2 update package.

Is that the correct order of the upgrade?

Mahalos!

As a side note - I tried doing a search and couldn't get an answer

Aloha - I noticed in all the wrapped themes that I use, all the links are red instead of the forum defualt color is there anything I can set in the templates CSS to resolve it back to the SMF template color?
14  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 2.0.x / Re: JSMF 2.0 Final on: December 28, 2006, 11:24:55 PM
Yes it does - very odd - I even had debug enabled and the page was still blank

I also noticed after it returns a blank page and I check the admin configuration page for the forum that the line 'synch user names' is not selected for either enable or disable radio buttons
15  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 2.0.x / Re: JSMF 2.0 Final on: December 28, 2006, 11:20:04 PM
so gimme details, you click sync usernames(or realnames) and it comes to a blank page immediately?

Yes it does - very odd - I even had debug enabled and the page was still blank
