It is not a bug, but because there are so many things interacting here I do not redirect unless there is nothing else set for a redirect url. If something is set that is where the bridge will redirect you to. It says as much in the user guide and the help in configuration. For the mod_smf_login this will be improved with the next build. For the other modules it is up to them to set the correct data for the redirects.
Hi Wolverine,
In regards to the redirects. I need to be able to login and logout and be redirected to ONE specific page on my site. However the redirect to URL in the smf_login module does not seem to work.
Is there any fix for this? OR Could you tell me where in the code I could enter a fixed page that will used when you login or log out?
Hi! I've been trying to redirect a user to the comprofiler on login, but the redirect just doesn't seem to work. It always redirects to main page after login.
Do you have any ideas? Thanks in advance

Hey,
I have the exact problem with the above configuration. Im using the mod_smf_login URL redirect but it does not work.
Does anyone have a fix or can you tell me where I can change this in the code?
Hi! I've been trying to redirect a user to the comprofiler on login, but the redirect just doesn't seem to work. It always redirects to main page after login. If I use the "Redirect to Forum on login" option from the back-end forum configuration, then I'm beeing redirected to ".../index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=41&option=com_smf&Itemid=41&", which doesn't seem quite healthy either, but still at least shows some movement.
Do you have any ideas? Thanks in advance

ErrorJoomla/Mambo[0] / SMF[0] inserted Failed : Installation Configuration General
I have search high and low and cannot find a solution.
I have done one fresh install where it worked fine. I then copied the fresh install to create a template for creating other sites. Of cousre I changed the Joomla and SMF paths as well as the JSMF bridge path. Everything seems to work perfectly except that now I cannot sync users.
Does anyone have this same problem? Is there still some reference to the old site path in the data base that I need to change?
I am also having the later problem(user sync). I have done one fresh install where it worked fine. I then copied the fresh install to create a template for creating other sites. BTW. WOLVERINE, I tried JSMF BETA 3 and also changed my SMF settings as you discribed. It seems to have fixed the logging out problem, however it still acumulates my total time logged in across all sessions. Thanks alot for your help on the matter.
Cheers

PLEASE HELP!
Does anyone know why the following occurs:
ErrorJoomla/Mambo[0] / SMF[0] inserted Failed : Installation Configuration General
thanks for the updates... my registration problems seem to be fixed now.. other errors I am still getting..when trying to retrieve a lost password, the email is sent but i get this Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/snapshot/public_html/site/administrator/components/com_smf/admin.smf.class.php on line 1092
and with user sync..I am still having problems, getting this Joomla/Mambo[0] / SMF[0] inserted Failed :
HI

Has anyone got the problem where SMF keeps logging you out after only a couple of minutes?
When I log in SMF displays a login time that is always a value much greater than I have actually been logged in. It seems that every time I login SMF tells me I have been logged in for 57mins. This could be my log out problem since SMF is configured to auto log out after 60min. Although even if I select the “forever” option it makes no difference.
Wolverine suggested
“hmmm, logout and then clear your cookies especially the session cookies. Try it again after that. I'm going to double check the file I uploaded, I may have an error in it. I hope not...”
However I have cleared cookies and used Norton cleansweep to try and clear away everything but still the same problem.
How can you clear session cookies? Is this different to clearing just the cookies? Is there a way to disable the auto log out feature in SMF admin?
ADDITIONAL INFO:
I tried logging into SMF from a computer outside my network that is off the premises. It remembers the same value for the log in time as my PC at home does. Where is this value stored?
Could this be a problem with my development server or more likely a coding or settings issue?
also, even when I log out and then log in again SMF members my login time and it is always a value much greater than I have actually been loged in. I have deleted cookies, temp files and history.
I have copied the joomla index.php patch and installed JSMF2.0.
My problem is that my Joomla homepage now does not exist. www.abc.com/index.php now just displays the SMF homepage wraped into my Joomla homepage.
Any Ideas?
Andrew
Hi Wolverine,
Futher to my problem above.
To fix this problem I did a fresh install of Joomla and SMF. I then installed the bridge and it worked perfectly. Then when I saw that you had made some changes to the original release I unistalled JSMF and then re-installed with the new com_SMF and used the new index.php file also included. This triggered my problem again, where my Joomla homepage disapears and is replaced by a wrapped forum.
