1  Joomla Addon Discussion / Joomla Mambots / Re: Features wanted! on: November 06, 2005, 02:34:24 PM
I'm actually planning on a more comment like style discussbot. Where you see all the comments below the article and quote on it.

But, let me see what I can do with this one. Do you have a URL of a website that already implemented this?

No sorry. I've just installed it on localhost but with some problems, even to uninstall it, unlikely someone using joomlahacks...

But I'm really -very- interested by your discussbot with all comments below the article and quote on it. Hope you plan it soon more than later :-)

Thanks for your excellent, easy to use bridge!

Just a suggestion for discussbot: actually we can only define one default forum. Why not include a panel to let users define where comments must be written according to the section/category used by an article?

Example: comments from "News Software" section must going to software forum, and comments from "News hardware" section to hardware forum. I think it is possible with Joomla to know what section are currently used fo the displayed articles. Will be very usefull for community with large sections/categories of articles!

Here you can see some very interesting features added to discussbot from Chadness. Chadness think it would be very easy to use them in your discussbot so why not? Anyway I'm very interested! Any word about that? Thanks!

4  Joomla Hacks / Mambo-SMF 1.3.x / Joomla-SMF and subdomain ? on: October 28, 2005, 08:03:26 AM
Hi,

It is possible to use smf in a subdomain? I want to use Joomla on "mydomain.com" and to have smf unwrapped on "forums.mydomain.com" using the same database. So it's just a problem in the path or cookies peraps..? It is planned for the futur if not working yet ?

Thanks Smiley
