Removed Bridge before unpatching both Joomla and SMF.

Now all I get is a blank page on the frontend.  In the Admin CP when I go to the Components - Joomla-SMF Forum, I get a blank page also.

I deleted both the components/com_smf/ and the administrator/components/com_smf/ folders after I made the mistake thinking I could just reinstall the bridge.

Both the folders are showing up again after reinstalling the bridge but Im cant access the index.php page on the frontend and the components config page in the admin cp.

I think I made it worst by trying to restore from a day ago, the restore was from a backup before my upgrade of Joomla and SMF to the listed versions

8  General Discussion / General Discussion / SMF Skins on: June 14, 2006, 09:28:46 PM
Is it just me or am Im just going to the wrong sites.  Every SMF skin I have tried with the Joomla Bridge wrapping the smf skin is messed up.  If it look OK in IE6 its messed up in Fx 1.5.0.4  If it looks OK in Fx 1.5.0.4 its messed up in IE6.

My question is to you all who have been using this since the beginning of time, where are you getting your skins from for smf that work with the Joomla Bridge.  I've even tried the two smf skins in the downloads here.  Same thing.

Im looking for a skin to go with the zonecopper Joomla theme.
Thanks for any replies.

Joomla 1.0.9
SMF 1.1.RC2
Joomla-SMF 1.1.3

My SMF Absolute Path is as follows
/home/ravensha/public_html/heaven/forum

I have chmod the forum and index.php file to 777

I cant Patch SMF Source Files?

What am Im doing wrong?   Im using the first download of Joomla-SMF 1.1.3

You ask whats the error I get, thats just it, I dont get an error.  At least Im not seeing one on the page when I try to patch it.  Where would it show up at. Im using Fx.  Let me try IE.

OK, using IE the error shows up.

Failed: Permission problem, unable to open file: /home/ravensha/public_html/heaven/forum/Sources/Subs-Post.php

So I chmod that to 777 and now I get the following error

Quote
Failed: Permission problem, unable to open file: /home/ravensha/public_html/heaven/forum/Themes/default/xml_topic.js

I'll search both here and on smf site for chmod settings.
