My forum install was working fine for months. All of a sudden I'm getting database errors on my forum. One error when I try to delete a post and a different error when I try to make a new post.
When I make a post I get: Unknown column 'lastupdated' in 'field list' File: C:\Program Files\Mysite\forum\Sources\Subs-Post.php Line: 1905
When I delete a post I get: Unknown column 'logtime' in 'field list' File: C:\Program Files\Mysite\forum\Sources\Subs-Post.php Line: 1581
I've read pages and pages of "unknown column" posts but not are specific like mine and all seem to be related to an upgrade or conversion. I didn't upgrade from anything or convert from anything. Mine was a fresh install of SMF.
I'm using Joomla-SMF Integration version 1.1.02 with SMF 1.1RC2.
I'm using joomla 1.0.8, SMF 1.1 RC2, and Joomla-SMF Integration v1.1.01.
I get the error below on the front page: Database Error: No database selected File: C:\Program Files\Apache Group\Apache2\htdocs\mysite\forum\Sources\Load.php Line: 1886
I don't understand why. Everything seems to work. I can login from the front page without problems, I can add new posts, delete posts, everything. I have no clue what this means.
The fix was to look inside the configuration.php file in the joomla root directory and remove all the trailing slashes in any references to http://www.mysite.com. In other words, I changed all instances of "http://www.mysite.com/" to "http://www.mysite.com" and all worked fine!
Thanks for the suggestions. I went into the fourm permissions and tried to loosen them up and also tried matching my Joomla permissions. That didn't help. I still got the error at login.
What I tried next is...I went into the database table and deleted/dropped all the "smf-*" tables and reinstalled SMF from scratch. This also did not help. I still get the same error.
I've been in search of a solution to the same problem people have been posting about. I get error "You are not authorized to view this resource. You need to login." each time I try to log in.
Here is what I've found:
It happens only when I patch the "index.php" file. If I unpatch it, the error goes away. That error comes up regardless of if I have the mod_sfm_login module installed or not. Even without it installed, if I patch the "index.php" file that error will come up when I try to log in.
I'm using these files: com_joomla_smf_forum_1.0.1b.zip mod_smf_login_1.1.zip JoomlaSMFForum_1[1].0.1b Joomla v1.0.3
