1  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 1.1.x / Re: Database error all of a sudden...? on: May 31, 2006, 09:49:48 AM
It's fixed!

Thanks for the hints Wolverine.  The few comments you made provided enough lead for me to fix my problem.

I don't know why it started happening but I do know how I fixed it.

I unpatched both files, deleted the subs-post.php file, used the original subs-post.php file from the SMF1.1RC2 package, then repatched my files.

All good from there.

Wolverine, thanks for taking the time to reply!

ahh, I see what you're saying.  Ok, I'll check the database....sorry, I'm a nOOb to this.

Where would I find the "field list" in the database?  What table is that?  I don't have a table called SMF_Field_List or anything like that.

4  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 1.1.x / Database error all of a sudden...? on: May 23, 2006, 12:27:47 PM
My forum install was working fine for months.  All of a sudden I'm getting database errors on my forum.  One error when I try to delete a post and a different error when I try to make a new post.

When I make a post I get:
Unknown column 'lastupdated' in 'field list'
File: C:\Program Files\Mysite\forum\Sources\Subs-Post.php
Line: 1905

When I delete a post I get:
Unknown column 'logtime' in 'field list'
File: C:\Program Files\Mysite\forum\Sources\Subs-Post.php
Line: 1581

I've read pages and pages of "unknown column" posts but not are specific like mine and all seem to be related to an upgrade or conversion.  I didn't upgrade from anything or convert from anything.  Mine was a fresh install of SMF.

I'm using Joomla-SMF Integration version 1.1.02 with SMF 1.1RC2.

Some help would be greatly appreciated!
5  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 1.1.x / Error on main page on: April 17, 2006, 01:08:21 AM
I'm using joomla 1.0.8, SMF 1.1 RC2, and Joomla-SMF Integration v1.1.01.

I get the error below on the front page:
Database Error: No database selected
File: C:\Program Files\Apache Group\Apache2\htdocs\mysite\forum\Sources\Load.php
Line: 1886

I don't understand why.  Everything seems to work.  I can login from the front page without problems, I can add new posts, delete posts, everything. I have no clue what this means.

Any ideas?
6  Joomla Hacks / Mambo-SMF 1.3.x / Re: Extra slash and missing 'i' in index.php on: April 01, 2006, 10:31:51 PM
I had a similar problem and I thought I'd post how I fixed it.

Every time I logged in I would get a 404 error (page not found) because it would take me to "http://www.mysite.com//ndex.php" instead of "http://www.mysite.com/index.php".

The fix was to look inside the configuration.php file in the joomla root directory and remove all the trailing slashes in any references to http://www.mysite.com.   In other words, I changed all instances of "http://www.mysite.com/" to "http://www.mysite.com" and all worked fine!

wooHOOO!  Grin

Scotty,

Thanks for the suggestions.  I went into the fourm permissions and tried to loosen them up and also tried matching my Joomla permissions.  That didn't help. I still got the error at login.

What I tried next is...I went into the database table and deleted/dropped all the "smf-*" tables and reinstalled SMF from scratch.  This also did not help.  I still get the same error.

I don't get it.  I have no idea what to try next.  Cry

I've been in search of a solution to the same problem people have been posting about.  I get error "You are not authorized to view this resource. You need to login." each time I try to log in.

Here is what I've found:

It happens only when I patch the "index.php" file.  If I unpatch it, the error goes away.  That error comes up regardless of if I have the mod_sfm_login module installed or not.  Even without it installed, if I patch the "index.php" file that error will come up when I try to log in.

I'm using these files:
com_joomla_smf_forum_1.0.1b.zip
mod_smf_login_1.1.zip
JoomlaSMFForum_1[1].0.1b
Joomla v1.0.3
