the open-sef website appears to be offline. does anyone know what's going down there?
2  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 2.0.x / Re: jmsf login not displaying in firefox2 on: March 07, 2007, 08:35:22 AM
ok, it appears this is a memory limit problem. php says:

Code:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 311296 bytes) in .../modules/mod_smf_login.php on line 405

it appears jsmf insists on setting my memory limit to 16m although the code would suggest to only do that if the limit is below 16. it might also be possible that my hoster screwed up. i'll check into this.
3  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 2.0.x / jmsf login not displaying in firefox2 on: March 07, 2007, 08:15:32 AM
i just realized that at one of my sites, jsmf login does not display in firefox 2. after displaying the module title, the module just dies silently.

take a look at http://www.akron-info.de/

on the left the bottom most module is jsmf login, it's set to display as a flat list, on any other page it works just fine. can anyone confirm this bahviour? maybe give a hint towards the nature of this problem?

5  Joomla Addon Discussion / Joomla Modules / assembling component links in a module on: January 07, 2007, 10:37:06 AM
hello all.

i'm working on an "upcoming events" moduel for a calendar component and now i need to assemble the appropriate link to make the component display event details.
i'm not quite familiar with the interface, so i wonder if i'm supposed to get the corresponding component id from the database myself, or is there a way to query components directly for info?

thanks in advance.
6  Joomla Core Discussion / Joomla 1.0.x / Re: joomla, smf, gallery and subdomains on: August 03, 2006, 06:43:09 AM
yes, i'm integrating it. i have one subdomain foo.bar.tld running one installation and i have another subdomain whatever.bar.tld which i plan installing the other installation on.

8  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 1.1.x / Re: Login FireFox gives blank screen... when redirect on: July 10, 2006, 08:01:19 AM
i've been having the same problem. wolverine and i did some looking into this, without really getting anywhere. explicitly setting the login/logout-redirect urls in the login-module-config is my current kinda temporary workaround.
9  Joomla Core Discussion / Joomla 1.0.x / joomla, smf, gallery and subdomains on: July 10, 2006, 06:17:54 AM
hello all,
i was wondering if anyone has experience with running multiple installations as described above on different subdomains on the same server.
is it too much of a hassle?
10  Joomla Addon Discussion / Joomla Modules / Re: smf calendar module on: July 03, 2006, 08:21:33 AM
i dodn't need anything fancy. i just didn't like the way the module used a bunch of psans and brs to display what is essentially a list. i changed the module's code to just display a ul for everything.
11  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 1.1.x / Re: Joomla-SMF 1.1.4 on: June 28, 2006, 04:22:08 PM
i've just been having a rather lengthy bug hunting session with wolverine, and it appears, firefox just won't do the redirecting business properly unless there's explicit redirecting urls for login/-out set in jsmf login config.

i really have noe idea why.

now i got it at logout, too. the resulting blank url is

http://domain.tld/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=44&action=logout&sesc=565e7c2bc5c346033c35848b1ebc9090

on login i get:

http://domain.tld/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=44&action=login2&hash_passwrd=0&user=<my_username>&passwrd=<my_password>&cookielength=60

i'm running current versions of joomla, smf, jsmf and jsmf-login.

i'm getting some odd behaviour with this release. every so often, after login, the page will just be blank. no content at all, no errors, nothing.

after a couple of realodas the problem usually disappears.

is this happening to anyone else?
