Somehow I can not write the right path to the folder. But I looked with my FTP Program(filleZilla) what the chmod of the files are: index.php is 777 and subs.php is also 0777. But when I click to patch I get this error message:

Hello all! I'm making a new web site with joomla and SMF and as always I'm using Joomla-SMF for integration. My hosting is a little bit st$p$d(don't ask me why - there are a lot of reasons). Something that is wrong is the chmod to all files and folders and from there come also my problem.
I installed Joomla-SMF 2.0 but I can't patch the Joomla files and SMF files.
For Jooomla I found the files here on the web site and I patched manually. But I coulnd't find the necessary files for SMF. Can someone help me with a link to those files?
Hm, the last days I spent wondering how to make the session not to expire after 15 minutes. Mike you are wrong. It is not SMF, but joomla that set the sesseion to 15 minutes(global config - 900sec by defaut). (perhaps it is also made from SMF)
I got a lot of user saying that the site is logging them out, when they log in through the forum and set the time to 1 hour. Yes I tried it today and really the site log you out after 15 minutes. I believe this box with 1hour, 1 day and forever must go off and there must stay forever (I'm not sure if it is helping).
Hello Wolverine, and Hello all testers that made it possible! With this thread I want to thank all of you for the great Job. At the begining I had problems because the collations of SMF and Joomla were not the same, but as soon as I changed them I could see what a great peace of software you made. Perhaps there are bug, perhaps - I couldn't find something that didn't worked for me. All I was waiting for is slowly comming true.
I'm using Joomla with CB and I'm really pleased with the avatar synchronization and the user synchronization with SMF. Great!
I'm synchronizing the users with their real names. When they change their real names, then it is also changed in the forum (cool). The only place where this is not changed is the statistic - there stays latest Member - and the name is not changed after the update.
That is what I found. Everything else seems to work fine.
Ah, I don't know if it is comming from the bridge, but better say it here. When the user change his theme in SMF, then it is not changed. He must close the browser, clear the cache and so on and then this taking effect. I have wrapped installation.
When I try to synchronize the users I get this error message:
Quote
_JSMF_MSG_SMF_JOOMLA_SYNC_CHECK_ERR: db_error:Illegal mix of collations (utf8_unicode_ci,IMPLICIT) and (utf8_general_ci,IMPLICIT) for operation \\\'=\\\' SQL=SELECT count(*) FROM smf_members
Hello all! I finally found a little time to instal Joomla-SMF 2 RC1 and see what it can do. My site is still running Joomla 1.0.10 SMF 1.1 RC3 and I use community builder 1.1
I installed the bridge with out any problems. I got a messege: SUCCESS.
But my site is reacting strange. In administration I'm logged out often (it looks unnormal). When I log in to the site I get a message - invalid user name, when I press OK, then I see, tha I'm logged in. When I go to the forum - there I'm not logged in.
I don't understand what is wrong. I have installed SMF CB Plugin, but nothing is helping.
I also have CB1.0.1. And it is also working! But I'm using CB Joomla-SMF Forum. Plug in for CB, that helps the log in/logout process. You can find it in the download section of this web site.
And yes it fails only with SMF 1.1RC3 (and why security patch - was it the release so described?)
So wait for the new bridge, perhaps with him it will be all better. One week waiting is better than one week headache.
I have problems with Joomla-SMF CB Plugin. When it is activated and user try to log in, then it is telling him that the name is not existing and is refusing to log him in.
That is the only thing that I found.
Aaa, and if you use the possibility to redirect to CB profile instead to SMF, then this also not working.
