1  Joomla Addon Discussion / Joomla Components / Can't Install ExtCalendar?? on: January 07, 2008, 02:44:16 PM
I downloaded the install package from Sourceforge for ExtCalendar 2, but I can't get it to install. How do I do it?
I tried using the component install feature in Joomla by uploading the package .zip file, but it didn't work.
Maybe it's not working because it's not a component? I don't know. It was listed as a Joomla download on this site...
Do I have to install it separately on my server and just link to it from my site, or can I install it as a component?
Help!
Thanks!
*update: ok, so I installed on a different directory, but how can I get it to integrate with Joomla???
2  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 2.0.x / Re: Upon forum log-in, re-directed to joomla index? on: January 05, 2008, 03:06:58 PM
Yes, thank you... I got that from another post...
but now I don't want to use the bridge at all and I get a fatal error:

3  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 2.0.x / Re: will not patch on: January 05, 2008, 02:10:05 PM
for me, I had to type in the SMF directory path and save before it would allow me to patch; but I have issues now of my own trying to uninstall it...
good luck.
4  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 2.0.x / Can't UNINSTALL without FATAL ERROR! on: January 05, 2008, 01:55:56 PM
OK:

This is what I'm using:

Version Information:
Your Joomla version is: 1.0.13
Your SMF version is: 1.1.4
Your Joomla-SMF version: 2.0.2.1

I am trying to UNINSTALL the bridge: However, when I do this and try to access my main site, I get a fatal error:

Fatal error: Call to a member function restorePostMessage() on a non-object in /public_html/index.php on line 158

The code reads:
(LINE 156)>>//JOOMLAHACKS.COM
(LINE 157)>>$message = intval( mosGetParam( $_POST, 'message', 0 ) );
(LINE 158)>>$jsmf->restorePostMessage($savedVars);

This only fixes if I REinstall the Bridge and configure the install page;
When I do this the "patch Joomla Source files" link DOES NOT work UNTIL I add the SMF Absolute path of the forum. Once I save, the Joomla Source Files patch link says "done" automatically.
I can patch/unpatch the SMF source files just fine.

However, when I try to then Unpatch the Joomla source files (so that I can uninstall the whole bridge again... 'cause I don't want it...) I get Failed: Unable to find file: /home/nycstude/public_html/index.php.

And the whole yucky process starts over.
I can't uninstall this bridge without getting a fatal error on my index.php, which leaves me unable to access my site.

HELP!
5  Joomla Addon Discussion / Joomla Templates / How to Change "SolarFlare" template by rhuk to Wider Width? on: January 05, 2008, 12:57:22 AM
How can I change the CSS of the SolarFlare template to make it all a wider width?

Thanks!
6  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 2.0.x / Upon forum log-in, re-directed to joomla index? on: January 04, 2008, 04:46:38 PM
Upon forum log-in, the user is redirected to the Joomla index and is logged out of both the main Joomla site and the forum.
How can I fix this?
Also, what should I choose as Joomla-SMF and Global settings if I want the log-in and registration for both the site and the forum to remain separate?
Thanks!
