Yep even though I am not sure I have the latest version of JSMF login / recent topics module..

editing jos_menu allows you to keep the same ItemID for com_smf. for example on this site, it's "option,com_smf/Itemid,94"... 94 is the ItemID.

installed 1.1.4.2.. looks okay. did not uninstall the recent topics or login modules...

only needed to edit jos_menu once to my old ItemID

which ftp client do u use?

on filezilla, I simply right click on file and choose "file attributes"...

I want my old discussions to reside in new board, so I was thinking to change

{mos_smf_discuss:oldboard}

to

{mos_smf_discuss:newboard}

I've been using an older version of discussbot (1.1.2), but want to change board names.  I've been using this method to link my articles:


The problem is when I change my board name to something else, I assume my discussbot links will go bonkers (correct?)

I would need a quick way to change all the content from oldboardname => newboardname.  Does anyone know which SQL table to edit, and if it's feasible to use this search+replace method? (via Phpmyadmin)

hmm, maybe I should search for a way to automatically empty out the error log every week, or is there a built in option to do this in SMF?
