1  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 2.0.x / Re: JSMF 2.0RC3 released on: December 02, 2006, 07:06:00 PM
I saw a post earlier regarding CB 1.0.2 that Wolverine needed to test to make sure there were no problems but I don't see any more posts on the subject.  Is it safe to upgrade.

I am also curious if SMF 1.1 Final is a safe upgrade as well.

Thanks
2  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 2.0.x / Re: Lost Password doesn't seem to work on: October 03, 2006, 01:04:02 PM
I created a test account, and when I try either "lost password" from the CB login, or if I try "forgot password" from SMF, I get redirected to the same place to enter username and email address.  I enter the info, and it then goes to a blank screen (is this a caching problem?)  I get the password in an email.  I enter the new password, and it does not work.  I get the pop up "Incorrect Username or Password, please try again."  If I try to login through SMF (wrapped) I get "Password Incorrect."

I had one user report the same problem.  I actually have not had time to look into the issue and just reset it for them at the time.  So it looks like this might actually be a real issue.

Congratulations on finding a new job Wolverine....

I second that.  I have not been on the boards for awhile so I did not hear the news.  That's definitely GREAT news.  Unemployment or the threat of can be a stressfull thing.  I work for GM and its been stressfull here for the last 2years.  I think things finally starting to turn around but nowhere near a safe environment yet.  Again grats!!!

I doubt this is an issue with the cb plugin but I thought I would post here just in case.  I also posted over on joomlapolis.

On the cb members list page I can only view the first page of members.  If i click on next it just reloads the first page again.  Only way to see all members is to change the configuration in cb to make the members per page bigger then my site's total members.  I unpublished the cb plugin and tried again and still get it so that is why its probably not an issue with your plugin but just thought I would check incase anyone else saw this.  Again I posted over on cb's site also.

WOW! What an improvment!!! Last night I did a whole scale update to my site.

joomla 1.0.10 --> 1.0.11
CB 1.0 --> CB 1.0.1
SMF 1.1 RC2 --> SMF 1.1 RC3
JSMF 1.1.4.2 --> JSMF 2.0 Beta

With all the issues I was seeing from other posters I figured I would have some problems but actually so far I have no problems and everything seems to be working.

One thing I did notice was I use uddeIM PM system. I do notice that if you click on message link in the forum it does take me to my PM inbox page but in the forum where it says:

Hey, "user", you have 0 messages, 0 are new

it does not show whether I have anything in my inbox.  Maybe this part is not implemented yet so no big deal then but just wasn't sure.

Anyway, great job and I will be sending in a donation very soon.

should be all set, a big part of the problem was the rdf feeds had all kinds of html special chars in there.  That caused IE to fail and not include the task(which is at the bottom of the form).  Should be good to go now, I updated the download.

Just got back and tried it out. Worked like a champ!!!! Thanks YOU!!!!! Cool

I'm not having any problems.... anything showing up in the JS console?

I was doing the work on my mac and safari would not report any errors but trying it over on my pc using IE i get an error on page:

Line:350
char: 2
Error: 'document.adminForm.task' is null or not an object
code: 0
URL: http://www.wwnazarene.org/cms/administrator/index2.php?option=com_smf&task=config

Ok big problems. this new 1.1.4.2 installs fine but i can not configure it.  The save and cancel buttons on the admin panel are non functioning. Please help I don't have a an old copy of 1.1.4 anymore and now I am stuck without a bridge.

update. I did find 1.1.4 on the download page and tried to install it but still no dice. Now all of sudden the save and cancel buttons are toast in on configuration panel. I uninstalled the correct way so I don't get this. Any ideas?
11  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 1.1.x / Re: Joomla-SMF 1.1.4 on: July 11, 2006, 01:38:26 PM
I think you should use CB 1.0 RC1! That's the new version!

I think you mean CB 1.0 Stable.
12  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 1.1.x / Re: Joomla-SMF 1.1.4 on: June 28, 2006, 09:45:07 PM
It should, and I after repeated tests I didn't encounter this problem in my testing, however I wasn't necessarily using multiple users, which may be the key.  Let me attempt to replicate.

any updates on this issue because I can only log out of SMF if I use the logout button inside SMF.  Logging out justing the CB logout button only logs me out of joomla not SMF.
13  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 1.1.x / Re: Joomla-SMF 1.1.4 on: June 28, 2006, 09:11:03 AM
Ok just installed 1.1.4 and all my redirection issues are fixed from before.

I am using joomla 1.1.10
CB 1.0 stable
J-SMF 1.1.4
login module CB
CB Bridge

I see one problem that I am having.  Say I login as admin. It redirects to my main joomla page as it should.  I click on forum button in main menu and it directs to SMF wrapped.  Ok If I logout inside SMF it redirects to joomla main and everything is logged out. Then If I log back in as another user and go to fourms that person is logged in fine.

---->Here is the problem. If I login as a user then go to SMF everything is fine but if i navigate back to joomla main then logout there using my CB module. I am only logged out of joomla. I am still logged in with SMF.  Also if I try to login as a new user in Joomla then navigate over to SMF the older user is still logged in and my new user is not.  It seems the only way to logout of both is to use the logout button inside SMF.

WOO that was loog winded. I hope I made sense!  Let me know if you can replicate this problem.  I would think logging out inside joomla should kill both sessions.
14  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 1.1.x / Re: Can't patch index.php version 1.0.10 on: June 27, 2006, 12:00:08 PM
I was just about to release JSMF 1.1.4 however there are changes to the index.php in J! 1.0.10.  So I am going to incorporate those changes into 1.1.4 and release it, hopefully later today. Thanks for everyone's patience.

 Cool ROCK ON! Cheers to Wolverine!
15  Joomla Hacks / Joomla-SMF 1.1.x / Re: Joomla-SMF 1.1.3 on: June 22, 2006, 07:34:38 AM
first build to address the problems is being tested.  Sorry for the issues, they just didn't come up in testing which means there are quite a few holes.  I hope I can at least release some sort of beta to address these problems by early next week.  Unfortunately I am out of town on business this week and it has been/will be hard to find time to work on this for the remainder of the week/weekend.  ETA?  Soon as possible guys.

Thanks for giving up an update! We appreciate your hard work!
