Sorry, but please search the forums. This question is asked many times and also a solution is posted many times (we also covered it in the user guide faq and so on). In the User guide and also in the link I gave you will find instruction of how to patch the J! files.
And when this is not working that there is a pre patched index file for the J!.
Is anyone else having problems when using a login form in SMF (like in the SMF header) when using 2.0.2 of the bridge and SMF 1.1.3?
It isn't passing the password for me...
Tested it and I also do not have this problem Tested it on: J! 1.0.12 (no extra components) SMF 1.1.3 and also with the CVS release (no Mods and default template) JSMF 2.0.2
wow that would be great if we could stay on using the joomlahacks bridge and login module etc. The whole GPL issue is getting more and more people angry. all that sites that use joomla and smf using a bridge are experiencing problems.... i hope this is gonna work, then we could all upgrade and use the JSMF bridge. The component is now working very good on J 1012 and latest SMF
What do you mean all the sites having problems with the Bridge? The Bridges is working great on J! 1.0.12 and on SMF 1.1.3 and also on the SMF cvs releases. (tested the Joomlahacks and Simplemachines bridge with the CVS releases of SMF)
There is only an small issue with the J! 1.0.13 login routine. (there are some security changes on this one) So you can read on the forums that the advise is not to upgrade to J! 1.0.13.
I've been a long time user of JSMF, absolutely no complaints.
However, I need to convert to Orstio's bridge (official SMF Joomla Bridge).
Would anyone be so kind as to point me in the right direction on how to accomplish this?
I doubt its overly complex, but not having done it before I'd appreciate someone with experience to inform me how its done.
I don't need exact instructions, as I'll follow Orstio's, but I'd like to know what I need to do to fully remove JSMF (aside from the obvious removing the component itself - if there is anymore to it than that??)
I have the same error. I downloaded JSMF_2_0_RC3_1_unzip1st and unzipped it. I then did a component add (after reading the user guide) and I get the same error after uploading the com_smf_2_0.zip
i'm not professing to understand any of the above, but have a question....
I have Joomla and just downloaded SMF - what is the recommended way to have custom registration fields please ?
Many thanks ?
When you search the forums you will find the answers. You can make custom profiel fieds in SMF Joomla! and in Community Builder sot these are your options.
Why deleting Css files and not really fixing the problem So as you described the problem seems that you have problems with duplicate classes. This covered many times on the forums
